Omg!! I was at the concert with my mom, I must of been like 8 yrs old! Every time Selena was in Houston performing at local concerts we were there front & center. I was also blessed to see Selena at the Houston Rodeo 3 years in a row! I have yet to see an artist interact with the fans at a concert like she did! It was an honor to watch her voice mature over the years to hit main stream! Selena you are missed!!! ❤❤❤❤

Yes, she definitely improved and we were there to witness her blossom. It was an amazing experience that was cut to short. 😢 This is how I will always remember her. I saw her perform 6 times during this time in Houston.
I always say every year she improved from the last, but with that being said she never sounds bad! Even at 16! Most 16 year olds don’t have this much confidence.

Dude ever since I discovered this video I have been trying to share it with everyone... This is a 16 year old performing like no one I have ever seen. I've been a Selena fan since I was a kid, but the show seals the deal as to why she is a LEGEND. We lost out on a great performer.
She lit up the whole city of Houston with this performance. Love her so much

Selena used to watch Soul Train and American Bandstand and such shows. She taught herself to Dance by watching those and repeating the moves that did.
Aw! Selena was such a cutey here. Her Texan accent is adorable! Her singing voice was a little pitchy here, but she still pulls a very charismatic performance, not to mention that she's a very good dancer.
She was only 16 during this performance and still a kid, yet her talent was out of the roof! She was meant to to be a superstar as an adult. This was a fun performance.

I was there at the Miller Outdoor to watch her at that concert. I was 12. There were other artists there that evening but none had much of an impact on me except Selena. I immediately signed up for choir when I returned to school. Had a few solos and have enjoyed singing ever since. She was my inspiration!

Watching her just always makes me so happy, takes me to the celebration of music, art and beauty. All the other people have only some of the talent. Like if they have the voice, they don't dance or vice versa. Few people are the real Musicians that have outstanding talents and provide a big input in the music industry. But still they are not her. Just by watching Selena’s performances when she was just a child/teen to her young adult years, you could tell her voice & her dance skills matured so much over the years, we can only imagine now what she would have been like as an artist and entertainer in this day and age which I think she would have been even more amazing now. Selena was just starting to make her peak in the english market before she died and I have no doubt she would still be as recognised and loved by people all over the world as she is now if she was still here on earth, I was only 4 years old going on 5 when Selena died so unfortunately I was too young to fully appreciate her and her talent while she was still alive but she will always be here with us in spirit and in all of our hearts. She will forever be missed and never be forgotten, R.I.P Dear Selena ❤️
