A little on top of buttered toast is preferred, it shouldn't be eaten 'raw' or in such thick spreadings.
As an American, I tried vegemite for the first time a year ago and did the same thing they did and thought it was a little overwhelming, but I learned the proper way to enjoy this and now I can’t get enough

Tip from Australia - This isn't peanut butter, just need the lightest spread, probably not even a spread.. A LITTLE BIT with more butter or margarine, and it'll taste a lot different.

@@JohnTriesStuff yeah, fair enough. It's not for everyone. The best way to have it is on a lightly toasted piece of fresh bakery bread with melted butter spread across, and bits of Vegemite lathered across. It's sorta like pepperoni pizza in that way. Covers most of it, but there are spaces.
