Hi everyone! Seeing as this is my most popular video at the moment I thought I'd consider doing another Dire Straits song. Which one would you like me to play?
I'd suggest their best known song Sultans Of Swing. Your "relaxing version" of Brothers In Arms is quite different from others, for I've checked out a few because I'm in the process of learning it (you can check out my short video of it if you like). I also like your David Bowie cover of Life On Mars... Have you tried his Space Oddity? Anyway you have a new sub ))
How did you know that was another favorite of mine?! Such a beautiful song, and the solos communicate just as much as the lyrics. I don't know what it's like to fight in battle, but this song captures that bittersweet brotherhood better than any other. And you did it justice, as always. Thank you! 😊

I'm sorry to hear your comments about the sound quality as this is one of the things I spend a lot of time on trying to perfect. I will try and do better with future videos.
@@TheASMRPianist Hi….. Your performance is truly sublime, one of the best three I have ever heard, and one of those three was by Mark Knopfler himself in Niems, France, in 1992. Quite apart from your undoubted skill as a Pianist, I feel that you truly ‘felt’ this music, which I do truly feel is a ‘War Hymn’. One cannot simply ‘perform’ this piece, one must ‘feel it’, and you clearly did. It was magnificent. Unfortunately, yes, I do feel that the sound quality was nowhere near the quality of your performance. But overall, this performance deeply touched my Heart.

This album was one of my earliest musical memories as my parents bought the album when it came out ( I was 2!), so I definitely 'feel' the music, it's one of my all time favourite albums.
