- This was his last concert in Tucson in Spring 2008 at the Old Town Artisans. He paired with a local guy named Arthur Migliazza. It was a phenomenal concert and if you ever have a chance to see him, don't miss out.

Just had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Boogie Woogie perform at the 14th Annual boogie Woogie Piano Summit put on by Cincinnati pianist/entertainer Ricky Nye. Both Arthur (who's in his early 30's) and Mr. Boogie are obviously outstanding musicians and the Netherlands native Mr. Boogie Woogie is a showman with few equals !
This is great music, these guys are having lots of fun, that's the way it should be. over the years I see something like this happen, it's great someone got it on film.

Mr. Boogie Woogie has to be the best. I am so glad he is coming back to Tucson in mid -Feb 2020. I will be at some of his shows.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m giving this five stars because this is the first and only Boogie Woogie Piano video I’ve found where they get close to how the left is suppose to be played. They have the double chops, which is how the left hand rhythm is suppose to go. Double chops is impossible to find anymore. With that said...

I’m on a, Boogie Woogie quest, to find just one piano player who still knows how to play the original left hand version of this cool song. After viewing now dozens of Boogie Woogie videos so far, I’m sad to report that it appears the roots of the original version has long since been forgotten/lost.
😮 Possibly because the original version is harder to play? And or lazy left hands have drifted away from how this is originally played?
😂 Obviously, no one seems to know how the original left hand part of the Boogie is suppose to be played any more. Not even, The Piano Guys, knew. Once I showed them the correct way, they admitted they as well did not have it right.
🎵 It’s a left hand double beat, with left hand double chops, with 2 added 3rd middle note where the middle finger slides from D# to E major, and respectively as you move through the 1, 4, 5, progression. Those 2 extra note are played between the double chops. Yes, between the double chops. Sounds hard if not impossible to do? You eventually get use to it. Then it’s child’s play.
It’s actually three different left hand parts tied together in sequence with an added bass run, that makes up the foundation for the original boogie base notes.
In the old days, boogie meant to quickly haul ass. (To run) Hence the boogie, in name, The Boogie Woogie.
😂 Why is it that the awesome left hand bass run/chops have long since been forgotten? I ask, because when played correctly, it sounds extra fricking awesome!!
🤔 I need to make another video how the left hand goes. But I sold my only two pianos. New Piano is on the way. But not until 2020.
Once I make a video how this use to be played from the bygone day’s, I’ll tag the video with, (OrginalBoogieWoogie101).
Hopefully my boogie video will put the boogie back in, The Biogie Woogie song. Causing piano players around the world to return back to the roots of the original sound of the boogie performed in the left hand, for the song, The Boogie Woogie.

Wish I could do that....great bass to boot...hittin' replay again...
