      I always thought that hoods was closth of thieves and that it was mainly used to hide face

      @@Enchantiatshirts I know that's how it looks like in many games lol, but it's not really true, many people wore them since they offer great protection against the weather and were quite fashionable at the time.

    Wojciech, your production is on point! Music and sound design is perfect and doesn't drown out the dialogue, the locations, props, and clothing is fantastic. And the information is well presented and interesting. You should be really proud, and I really hope your channel pops off!

    I make props and costumes and I was thrilled to be commissioned to make a proper hood and mantle for a client. Of course it was linen and wool.

    this video is so well made!! the production quality is great and the info is super useful. would love to see more about medieval clothing... maybe something about how people carried things eg. belts/pouches/backpacks? idk just an idea!

    Very nice and informative. A pity you didn't show the other two hoods in the same manner you presented the first one. Some of us are also interested in the actual construction of the garment: )

      From SPES Medieval Market on the internet. The clothing I bought from there was always good quality, I can fully recommend these pals.

    4:40 haha, that seems like something modern humans would do :D "let's take this perfectly functional garment and bunch it up and put it on upside down and call it fashionable!" Lol! It's good to see we haven't changed at all in hundreds of years. Now I want a proper medieval hood, but I want to wear it properly, not bunched up and upside down ^_^

      I do medieval reenactment. When Texas had the freeze and lost power, I wore my hood in house. I was never too cold.

    word is Europe is pretty xenophobic and Poland is even more so, especially toward guests from Ukraine and Russia. how true is that? tx
