  • Ilocos Norte really does have an amazing island! It is only 15 minutes away by small boat from the town of Badoc and it has some of the best turquoise water I have ever swam in!
    White Sand, Chilled Vibes, Beautiful Water...
    This is a place definitely worth visiting! And I was shocked that even on a holiday there were so few people!!
    An amazing Filipino island up north!!! Ayus!

    Wow, this was amazing on so many levels. I don't recall if I ever went to Badoc when I was a kid, but I do want to go pay a visit now. I remember Currimao down south and Pasuquin up north with similar beaches, but that island in Badoc takes the cake. The white sand, clear, blue water and the scenery is worth it. I hope they keep it raw and natural and leave it in its natural state.
    I learn something new everytime I watch your vlog and I've taken so many notes and bookmarked lots of places to visit.
    And that spread in that restaurant looked delicious as heck.
    Just WOW!

    Hi Kulas! As far as I know, the reason why there are not a lot of people going to Badoc Island is because it's a private property. Then last year (or two-three years ago, i forgot), the municipality requested the owners to open the island to public. However, too many people went there when it was opened so they had to control it so i think there's now a limit on how many people can go there in a day. This is just what I heard (since i'm from Badoc) but please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
    By the way, the last time I went to Badoc island was in 2010 and me and my friends were the only people there 😊

    • @PhantaseaTV
      @PhantaseaTV Год назад

      You are correct. It is privately owned by both Filipinos and Australians. For about a year in 2017/18 they allowed unchecked tourism here, and in that time, the influx of visitors (600-1000 per day) literally trashed the island and nearly destroyed its fragile ecosystem, so now they are trying to enforce their private property rights, because the general public has proven that they are incapable of limiting their impact.
