The Good, the Bad and the Ugly was a most brilliant rollercoaster ride filled with increasingly epic scenes as the movie wore on. While including scenes of the civil war made the journey all the grander and harrowing- and more importantly humanized just a little the main three characters. This made the film the best western of all time. But Once Upon a Time in the West is a completely different animal. It scaled back the violence and adventure and instead added exquisite drama and far more interesting characters- somehow Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone outdid themselves and created a near-flawless, and unique, drama-thriller powerhouse. This made the film the best film of all time. Only a handful are its equal.
My heart breaks for her. She gave up everything to start new in a completely different world than she has ever known for a husband and family, but that has all been taken away from her. She has to start from scratch without any idea where to go from here. There is so much under the surface in Leone's storytelling. You have to pick up on in through facial expressions and music. The dialogue is secondary. Beautiful.
this scene tears me apart this filmscores touches my heart and soul makes me cry all the time. And how awful to have to bury your whole family especially your kids 😢😢😢😢😢
This is IT. When this movie went out Kubrick phoned Leone and asked:" How on Earth did you manage Cardinale to walk in sync with music?". Leone said:" I had music played on the set." That was revolutionary: Music first AND being on the set. Music would be composed AFTER all the shooting/filming was done.
@@hennagaijin100 Oh, no. I am sorry if you misunderstood me. Music was composed first. They played on the set, so she could walk in sync: at the train station and when approaching the house. Before that, the standard filming procedure was the other way around: do the script, shoot, make/choose music that would fit, and edit. And many still do it that way ... Music after the shooting. PS: I do all my videos with music on my mind as the very first step, and of course to go with the recipe: Middle East music for the Middle east recipes, Italian music with Italian food ... phonk with cars' shaped moulds ... just saying. To me, it does make sense. No wonder I like Sergio Leonie's Art. :D
Not inspired, directly copied. These Bollywood Jokers make fool out of our Older Generation but not us. We know who did first and best. Fuck these money grabber assholes who don’t know a shit.
@@Sanjay_Singh_Bisht Inspired not copied. Sholay's story is completely different from this movie. Even Leone was inspired by Kurosawa. And older generation had better knowledge of classic western movie s than the present generation whose knowledge of movies goes as far as Tarantino.
@@nikhilpanikkar So you are comparing Tarantino to Ramesh Sippy who didn't make another good movie half good as Sholay. These Salim-Javed jokers were privileged that they can watch Hollywood movies and make a script directly copy from it. Yes, even Leone copied from Kurosawa but his after movies were also great and on par original, Once Upod a Time in America. So stop licking these bhaadwood ass, and watch original Guru Dutt movies.

After that, she fucked with the man who do that
Legendary scene, tears in my eyes
This movie is so great but with so many powerful and sad scenes like this. Unforgettable and never to be equaled.
Acting as good as it gets..........CC is impossible to beat.
2022 ❤ this scene gets me everytime.
Same...😭
The actress who plays Jill is beautiful.
That's Claudia Cardinale
Claudia Cardinale. One of the most beautiful women, ever.
Claudia should have gotten an Oscar nomination
And she's every bit as good in The Professionals with Burt Lancaster and Lee Marvin.
Ennio morricone.❤❤❤❤❤
unbearably poignant, the music, the acting, a woman who has just been robbed of the step child she never even met, CC's extraordinary beauty
Dollars 'Trilogy' was great, this is an absolute masterpiece...
This ain’t the dollars trilogy

Especially when you come back after some time away expecting to start a whole new life!
Rest in Peace Ennio
..everytime i see this sceen it makes me wanna rip out my heart...
Mine too, she finally thought she had a life outside her whoring. The new family is massacred.
I am not cryin'! You are! :'(
Claudia Cardinale at her best

You've got it backwards. Ennio composed the score before one frame was shot.

How sad can it get? You just arrived at the town and you find your husband dead. You're left alone to live in an empty house. 😞
In my case my ex wife would have been happy with that......:)
and many adventures with strange men afterwards.
@@randiomettle4513 pffff you fool... or troll xd

It's hard to think of any sader plotlines then this.
Frank has one of the most satisfying deaths in cinematic history. This is why.
When you have ennio compose a theme for every character....and Leone directing.....it’s game over for everything else....
... and he played music on the set, so she could walk flawlessly - THAT was revolutionary. MUSIC FIRST, THEN ACTION.
