"Would you add this to your outgoing mail?" Note Andys smile when he said it. He knew when that stuff reached the press it was a wrap for the warden. That was the bullet to Nortons brain.
I may never know or understand how the poster was put back up perfectly with Andy crammed in a tight hole in the wall or why Andy didn't leave the rock hammer in the Bible or at least keep it as a treasured item that saved him. Leaving it in a creek risked it never being found. I guess it made for a better movie shot than for a bit of reality. I know I would have never let go of my salvation. 🤔
The poster was probably well-fastened in the top two corners so the bottom could be dropped to hide the hole with the bottom normally held up with tape. As for the hammer, he may not have been sure what he would have had to do once the got through to the sewage area. They were going to scour that creek, it would have been found.
@@stischer47 You're spot on with the poster. I think he would have held on toa small hammer that easily slides into a jacket pocket or stuck it tomthe warden and left it in the Bible. No way he counted on searchers finding it. Spot in with the poster, though.
@@stischer47 I mean, if he carried it out to the creek seems lo,like, he could've carried it to Mexico and held on to the item that freed him. There was no reason to carry it to the creek just to drop it in the creek. I'd understand leaving it I. The Bible where the warden was sure to find it. If I were Andy, I'm never leaving my salvation behind or in the mud. He spent 19 years working with that thing. Tossing it in the dirt? Nope. No way. 😉

There's that joke regarding The Flash, "You're going to try and shoot him? Why don't you just mail him the bullet, huh?"
In this case, Andy did.
9:17-9:48. my favorite scene from The Shawshank Redemption.
I could only watch this film once I hated what bro went through but he a soldier for fighting everytime.
What’s crazy is Andy was about to kill himself right before he discovered how loose the wall was. He was writing “Andy was here” just like Brooks
3:18 3:35 ONE THE GREATEST MOMENTS OF ALL TIME🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

For a bit of context, $370,000 in 1966, adjusted for inflation, would be about $3,600,000 (rounded) in 2024.
Thank your sir ☕

This clip reminds me of Scanners... Now I understand what they were going through just a little better. Another channel added to the blocked list
How did he reattach the poster on the wall?
Tape or thumbtacks on the top corners I’m guessing
