This Beast seems to perfect to get a 4 y.o. into this hobby. I remember my first toy grade RC back in the 80's. A Mercedes Zender (maybe Dickie?) powered by I believe 6 AAs. Runtime less than 20 mins. 😂
I think that's a great option, I've been wondering what to get my 4yr old, really hoping that I can get her into RC crawling so that we can go to some cool locations and events. Now is she gonna want Elsa blue, or some shade of pink.. it worked on the used (cheap) powerwheel I painted for xmas! Lol
It´s interesting to observe the different ways in which manufacturers respond to user feedback. At one end of the spectrum we see companies such as WPL instantly upgrading their drivetrains, wheels, tyres, body detailing etc, and at the other end we see firms like HB Toys. For no more cost than sending you a free Defender they got a concise, well-reasoned list of improvements to make which would increase the play value of their product at a minimal cost to them. Strangely, rather than modifying a couple of steering components, sending a memo asking that the lowermost hole be used on the servo horn and fitting oil shocks (probably 4 or 5 dollars a set when bought in bulk within China) they choose to slash the retail price by nearly 30%, which is a far greater cost to them than simply sorting out the truck´s problems. I just don´t see how this business model appeals to them, especially when they can see the benefits being reaped by WPL from their policy of responding positively to feedback. That said, this truck´s now even more of a bargain - spend a few minutes and a few dollars on it and you´ll get a competent and reliable scale crawler for a superb price...
Loving this one thanks for sharing very important information giving thanks blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work 🙏🙏🙏🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💪💪💪
Fantastic unboxing and info as always Phil. Am thinking the body should fit on my ZP1001. I do like that Body. Fantastic Test Run and as we know after the Mods it will be A OK 👍👍 Great video mate as always 👍😁👍
Cheers Tony. Body should fit, but you'll need the rear body posts... give it a month or 2 and they may start stocking the body as an option. I think I'll paint the grill and roof rack black though, and change the wheels
Sounds like something is loose not rubbing. I could be wrong though. It's a cool little truck. I would like to see it crawl on a good rock course. Does it not sound like the mesh on gears r grinding?
I've been waiting for this video 😂😂 I'm glad there is finally a runing viideo out there of this truck. Good stuff as always man. Can wait to pick one up🔥
I'm very ignorant on Rc are there readily available parts for this truck I really want one but I dont have the BIG MONEY to spend and this one might fit the bill!
People need to stop calling these types of trucks "crawlers" these are Trail Trucks or scale trail rigs. Crawlers are far more capable and look very different
She did pretty well for being stock. Definitely needs a proper set of oil shocks!
Like you said it’s a bit bouncy but an easy fix.
Cool steering mod and a great bit of driving in the mud. 💯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

@Rudy Junior happy to help :)
Awesome run
Cool little starter truck for kids or beginners I think. Liking the style bit of detailing and be a very good looking little truck!
A clone of a gmade komodo body , had that as my first crawler a couple years back great looking truck

I honestly don't know who some of these companies they in their 'development' departments! I'm going to do so free lance work I think....$$$$$$$$$$
good thing is it doesn't need an extra sound system!
haha

Tyre definitely rubbing on the body. The gearboxes on these are a bit noisy as well
It’s cheap and cheerful, & if it makes you happy then it’s worth the money. Great vid mate 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️
Thanks David
Splash proof, more like water proof 👍🏻
I think that I will save up for one of these with my pocket money as it doesn't look too bad
How far you’ve come since the shed

Yes, you can get parts. Banggood have axles, driveshafts, gearbox etc... and I expect Aliexpress will have more stuff
These still aren't available within Canada or shipping to Canada. Maybe due to Covid-19. :(
Possibly... the UK are still letting most/all stuff in to the country
Hey Tomley, where can you get the swing arm bushings for wltoys 144004 . They're starting to tear and break down from the pins being bent out, cheers!
Have you checked Aliexpress?
@@TomleyRC found them now that's spot on pal
Woww....spettacolare ... ciao dall'Italia
What you can do to quiet the drive train is take it all apart and put sum sort of lube or some patrolum jelly
Possible to put on 1/10 lmt grave digger tires??
Hi, what do you think makes that angry noise/sound? Is that engine or ESC? Thanks ;-)
I like it.
where is the official site of hp toys?
Dunno mate lol...
What is the wheel base on the truck?
Why that thing is cheaper than the hz p1001 defender the parts are the same except the body
Yes, no different other than the body
Do you think that you could give a link for the upgrade servos on the hobby plus cr24 crawler
I'll try and find one
@@TomleyRC thanks
Do you know the oil shocks you put in the description are they the correct ones to put on this
a very tough car, shabt ... is that expensive?
No, pretty cheap
Hi, are there any big differences between ZP1001 and ZP1003?
I love it ...it looks amazing n the stuff to make it better i can affird..but i cant affird the truck lol some day...thanks for the great video
Thanks dude

ruclips.net/video/ZjVr77qzuG0/видео.html 👍
Is it still durabel
Vale apena compla-lo ou um wltoys 12429 ?
While top brands still use Tamiya plugs 🤣
yeah, they are bit dated aren't they
Is the HB Defender better than this?
Or does this perform better
It's all the same
The difference is only in the body
The defender hb toys still looks better
Yes, although I think painting the grill and roof rack black will help with the looks...and change the wheels
The transmitter looks a lot like a Traxxas tqi
Yes... very much! The ZP1001 body is pretty much a TRX4
👍👌🤝🤘
salam dar indonesia guysss
Gmade komodo body😂
I worried sbout the gears. I think wpl is much better coz its all metal gears. Hit it ifbyou agree guys?🇵🇭
it costs 200 for me
I dont get why peeps buy rockcrawlers then take them boating ... Try a rock
Same reason you made your post, cause they can and they want to.
9:19 😎👍
Müll !!
I would keep the body n toss the rest in the trash...
