I watched this on 4/21/24, not knowing it was about anxiety. Wow did I need this. Great anxiety and panic attacks. My faith in God is strong.... praying that God will help me trust more, and turn it over to him.
I will miss Pastor Stanley. Their will never be person like him. So many evil fake Christians. Dr Stanley is about the kindness respect others. Truly man of God and jesus. How's heaven dr Stanley? I will miss you. Dr Stanley tell God to bless me with loving friends and family.
These old sermons withstand the test of time. I appreciate Dr. Stanley's teaching so much as he gets things straight from the Bible in the way it's meant.

Reasons for Anxiety:
1) Poor sense of self-worth
- We are worth more than birds and and lilies of the field, God will supply our needs.
2) Attempt to change things they cannot change.
- God has predetermined the length of our lives. Healthy decisions can improve productivity and quality of life but not length.
3) Failure to trust God.
- Anxiety is unbelief in disguise. Anxiety is unbelief in God's character, integrity and promises.
4) Following the world's pattern.
5) Misplaced Priorities.
- Seek first and submit your life to Jesus as the LORD of your life. Allow him to create godly character in your life.
6) Trying to live in tomorrow today.
- Today has enough trouble of it's own. Tomorrow will be anxious for itself.
When we seek the rule of Christ in our lives and desire to be conformed to His image, He supplies all that we need.

Thank you for this message. I live in anxiety and I know I need to trust in the Lord with all my heart. I know he has the best plan for me. I also have depression in my life, and loneliness. It's hard for me because I come home to empty home. I don't have anyone to talk to so it's easy for me to sit and think about my anxiety or my loneliness or think about my depression. But instead of doing that I should be thinking of how awesome God is and how much he loves me. And how much he cares for me. So please Lord help me to change my heart please lift me up during these difficult times. Help me to find a wonderful Church to belong to and be surrounded by people who can lift me up and who I can lift up as well. I'll need to be a good Witness to other people and help me to be able to listen to other people's testimony. Thanks be to God
I live alone too as well and I agree it's not easy to not worry or live in anxiety when you live alone. We just have to try harder to trust God and meditate on the word day and night. We both probably need to seek deliverance because sometimes we as Christians need to be delivered from certain things or bondage in our lives. I'll keep you up in prayer and I hope you do the same for me .Be Blessed 🙏

Everything Dr Stanley said about anxiety is true. And after listening to him I realize I was doing all the things he said cause anxiety. I had a nervous breakdown last year. And it was in large part about me worrying about the future. God bless Jesus's holy name!

@@Sirie7206 when I had my nervous breakdown I lost touch with reality. I couldn't tell what was real from what wasn't real. And I couldn't function through daily activities like showering or simple chores. I needed an aid. Keep praying God may deliver you as well. I also had 2 years of intensive psychotherapy . Cognitive behavior therapy. I'll pray for you.
@@Sirie7206 It turns out I have something called complex PTSD. I am an abuse survivor. That's where I got it. When I stopped trying to fix myself and denying something was wrong. When I accepted I had a thorn in my flesh like Paul I started to heal. Hope that helps

SOOOO true. Uncertainty breeds anxiety. It's like walking and suddenly a dense fog comes along, and now you can't see where each step is going to take you. Solid ground ? Or a curb that will throw you off balance.
*Proverbs **12:25** Anxiety in the heart causes depression. A good word makes it glad* .

I'm Catholic and i love listening to Dr. Stanley's insight.
God Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change and the current to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. God needs to come back now and protect us from all these bad guys that's trying to destroy United States and Canada and other cities countries. I don't have anxiety about what is going to happen it's what is happening now. And no one is doing a damn thing about it😠

This is an amazing sermon! Still relevant in 2021, and I have listened to it more than once. As a person that struggles with severe anxiety, I am so thankful for this teaching. Praise the Lord for his perfect timing and providing this when the world needs it so much.

I TAKE MEDICATION FOR ANXIETY, AND I CANNOT DO WITHOUT IT.
I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO WEAN MYSELF FROM THE MEDICATION.
IT HAS NOT WORKED. PRAYER WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!

This is so true. I've been struggling with anxiety for many years and as I am being renewed everyday I actually realized that anxiety has to do more with idolising myself. I repent daily as the Holy Spirit continues to work in me.

Such a life giving message from Dr. Stanley. This message is so very relevant considering what Christians are facing in this world. I pray we could all learn to yield to the Lord and put our trust and focus on Him and not on our worries and fears.
5:37 it’s not about never experiencing anxiety it’s about what we do with it.
I had some anxiety attacks. A gal at the the health food store said it’s like an epidemic.
People had been flooding into the store looking for something that would help.
She gave me a product and I’m sorry I can’t remember the name, had some kind of fungi in it,
but it really helped.
I hadn’t slept in weeks.
After eliminating junk food and eating bone broth soup, doing a liver detox etc, I not only rid myself of these attacks for good but my health has improved continuously.
At 60 I feel healthier and more energetic than I have in years.
I’m not discrediting what the pastor said.
I’m taking responsibility for my health and relying on our Lord for my physical, spiritual and emotional health by not being dependent on alcohol, drugs or comfort foods.
This sermon is what I needed to hear. Thank you Jesus for this sermon and Dr. Charles Stanley and most of all your beautiful salvation. Amen.

This is my 10th time listening to part 1&2 I want it to get deep into my spirit so that I can finally get it! No. Ore worrying for me. This will probably take 20 yrs of old age from off my face as I go through out life! Anxiety free takes away 20 years of worrying and stress from off your face and body. So when you get old people will say you look good for your age. What do you do for skin care? You can say… I give all my worry and fear to God.
