Thanks for the video. I've never owned a boat and have been looking and doing reasearch for a couple months. I think I have "Option Paralysis". So many to choose from that are very simalar in design. Having never owned one I don't have any reference point to go from. My biggest delema right now is Rocker or no Rocker. One (Water Master, Nile Creek, Maxxon) is more stable for modifying with a platform to stand on for Stillwater the other (Scaddin, OSG Clearwater and this one) is easier to manuver in Moving water. What would your advice be for a "Do it all" raft?
I'd suggest going with a rocker style boat, they're just so nice to row. If you're thinking of a casting platform for lake fishing it won't matter. I personally wouldn't recommend building platforms for boats these sizes, they're simply too narrow (rocker or not) and not terribly stable to stand on. If you're young and agile with very good balance maybe, but for the rest of us, sitting down is the best option, even when lake fishing. I've been happy with my Scadden's, they're a good entry level boat if you're buying one for the first time. I've also heard good things about the Clearwater but have never seen one in use. Hope this helps, cheers.
do you walk back up to your car where you launched? i guess you need 2 cars. and i guess you need a friend too. this is not feasible for friendless boaters?
Not sure yet buds. This is the 3rd prototype boat that I've had built and shipped over. Getting a feel for local interest and whats involved. Right now shipping is the biggest issue. I'll keep you and the loop!
Hey love your videos Yos. I’m in the market for something decent but minimal for two people. Would you recommend the Scadden Assault XX or are you bringing in one of these boats that can take two? Likewise any others that you would recommend.
Thank you for the video, do you have any update after a year of using? Thanks ,tight lines
Nice video 😀
