I have been cooking for 50 years now and one thing I know: everyone cooks according to THEIR tastes and what works for them. There is no right or wrong because cooking is all about technique and taste. Unlike baking, which is more an exact science, cooking is more subjective. I use recipes as a base. I can then modify it to my own tastes. When people come on here and criticize the author because of his style or technique are just showing their own stupidity about what cooking is about. If you don't like the way he does something, then just don't do it that way for YOU. Keep the petty comments to yourself and just move along to another site that might care what you think.
Jeanette Armstrong? Who are you? The comment police? You can say what you want, but I can't? No doubt you are a democrat, that's their credo. If you been cookin for 50 years, I think you are senile already. So keep your petty comments to yourself and move along to another site that doesn't find your picture stupid looking.
Jeanette, so you've been cooking for 50 years? Everybody who eats cooks. The older you are the longer you have cooked. All you have proven is that you are very very old, not that you know anything about cooking... and baking is a science? OMG.
Omg! I just made these deviled eggs and I promise you that if you have not tried these, you are missing a treat! I will never make them any other way. My eggs will be a hit on Thanksgiving. Thanks so much! I love your channel and can't wait to make more of your recipes!!
I made these yesterday and the family loved them! I did one thing different, I mashed up 1 white potato and they were a hit!!! I ate them for the first time!!!! Great Job!!
I just finished making these, the first time I've ever successfully made deviled eggs. They peeled perfectly. These might just be the best deviled eggs I've ever had! The ranch dressing is brilliant!
Hey there Jay! I have to say that I enjoy your videos so much because you talk throughout your demos. There are no dull spots at all. Not only are your recipes DA BESS, but they are very interesting and really educational! Have you ever considered teaching as a career? You could really do some "live" demos with your skills in cooking as well as speaking!
I have been telling my family about you for years and we are all good cooks but my daughter is Vegetarian after being bitten by a lone star tick and she now tweaks your recipes for her vegetarian meals and they are so delicious! Tonight she made your chicken (faux chicken for her) and dumplings
I never used sugar in my deviled eggs before, but I'm always open to new ideas. Tried it using this recipe, and it was great! Thankfully mine weren't quite as soupy as these, I like the yolk mixture a little stiffer without having to put them in the fridge. Don't knock something till you try it. Thanks for some nice, new recipes, Jay.
Thanks so much they were great!!!! The only thing I did differently was I put the egg mixture in a zip lock bag and cut a whole big enough for the mixture and just squeezed into the egg to prevent spillage Thanks again you rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People are so PETTY. IT SAYS Philly Boy Jays so hush. If you do it differently fine, but we ENJOY the way he does it. Don't like it create your OWN ISH.
Jaelyn Jackson EXACTLY! People love to dictate how others should do things. I'm glad open minded people like you exist because you open yourself up to new ideas that way. You try this recipe out as I said and Im sure you'll love them

Good PhillyBoy. Good. I am enjoying these devil eggs. The ranch is a different twist and something I would have never thought to put in my deviled eggs. At the tasting part, I agree that more relish and sugar was needed. I'm curious to see what the seasoning salt will bring vs using the salt. PhillyBoy, I think you're going to enjoy this because its so easy and quick. Here is Patti Labelle' foolproof professional way to hard-cook eggs that cuts down on the actual boiling time to avoid cracking and overcooking. Place the eggs in a saucepan just large enough to hold them in one layer. Fill with enough cold water to cover by 1 inch. Bring to a gentle boil over high heat. Cook for 30 seconds. Remove from the stove and cover tightly. Let stand for 15 minutes. Pour out most of the water and place the pan in the sink. Let cold water run over the eggs for about 3 minutes. Crack and peel the eggs while still warm. Try it. You will never do it any other way.
I'm so glad I found your channel. Thanks for providing the measurements for those of us still learning. I'm enjoying going back and watching your videos. They are very helpful. God bless.

Good stuff, PhillyBoyJay - I like dill relish in lieu of the sweet - and no sugar. Guess I like mine more savory than sweet. And yeah, I probably kill a lot of the flavor with horseradish too ... But, I love all kinds of deviled eggs - thank you for sharing.
My daughter loves deviled eggs so I gave your recipe a try. Definitely will make them again. The consistency was not how I normally make mine but the taste outweighed that.
I think everyone learns to cook from someone in their family. People do things differently. It NEVER is wrong if it tastes good to you~ Some people believe themselves to be the " Food Police ". Give that a rest and do something productive with your time.

Ranch in deviled eggs... interesting. I feel compelled to give it a go. I figure it's worth a try, even if I'm not a huge fan of ranch dressing.
