    Excellent. I'm good at identifying patterns in striking, but grappling is an area i'm looking to improve on, and these insights are valued. Keep this up.

    Your so good at explaining techniques and how they work by showing it done at a high level... Your also coaching us up a high level.....dude i wrestled 6 Year's from Junior high 7th and 8th grade through my senior year of highschool I placed 7th as a junior in 5th as a senior I pride myself on technique and paying attention to detail but you're ability to see everything and explain what's going on basically frame by frame and point out how it's happening .. next level bro

    Finally a technique breakdown with Sadulaev. The thing I was looking at though was his grip on the single-leg. He is essentially spreading the leg away from the body which prevents many counters like the head-inside spladle, lateral throws and whizzering+underhooking near leg drop because that leg can't move both between sadulaev's legs nor can he stand up without giving away a worse position. Sadulaev's immediate step up to the opposite side after the single prevents a knee tap but fun fact even though he doesn't know folkstyle wrestling this step up would prevent a funk roll to.
    Such simplicity yet so perfect.

    Lifting heavy weights less reps or light weight more reps. And how many times a week including upper and lower body

    • @martialbreakdowns
      @martialbreakdowns  2 года назад

      Depends on your goals. For developing strength, high weight, low reps, many sets, lots of rest between. For endurance I usually say pick a goal weight to build endurance with and build the amount of reps you can do over time instead of going super light. Splits are up to you, my current for the calisthenics routine I’m doing is alternating upper body day and lower body day, 6x a week, Sunday rest!

    sorry for this but is this freestyle wrestling or not because someone told me theres types of wrestling. i never seen a wrestling match or even understand it.

    • @martialbreakdowns
      @martialbreakdowns  3 года назад

      Yes there are lots of different types. Sadulaev is mainly a freestyle wrestler. In the United States “folkstyle” or “collegiate” wrestling is the rule set used from basically kindergarten through college. Freestyle and Greco Roman are considered the international types of wrestling and are the rule sets used during the olympics, world championships, pan-am, etc. When you first start off discerning between all the rulesets and ways to score within them is tricky but there are lots of helpful videos to help you get started!

      @@martialbreakdowns so these sadulaev matchs are freestyle? and not Greco-Roman

      @@martialbreakdowns yeah i see alot of dagestani fighters have freestyle wrestling but i saw this guy movsar evloev from Russia and the commentators kept saying his background is Greco-Roman and his brother respected russia in Greco-Roman. i was so confused what these terms meant like Greco-Roman and freestyle and this is coming from a guy whos clueless

    • @martialbreakdowns
      @martialbreakdowns  3 года назад +1

      Yes Sadulaev competes in freestyle. Greco Roman is a very similar rule set but leg attacks are not allowed. Think of it as freestyle but upper body only, not even trips using your own legs are allowed. The scoring is pretty much the same though with feet to back scores being 4 points, takedowns being 2, exposure being 2, and push outs being 1

      @@martialbreakdowns thank you brother, that explains everything. Greco-Roman is more harder if there is no legs involved.
