Now this is a perfect example of how to run trains "HO" scalers. We see prototypically and correctly assembled yet moderately weathered freight trains running at correct speeds on a very well detailed layout with sound dubbed in. I love the fact that this is still a DC powered layout. Congratulations to the membership. Well done. Well done indeed. Just remember, horn where appropriate. Crossing roads in heavy commercial districts with no signals, Yes, On bridges???. Otherwise Flawless !!
I haven't been to Z'ville in 19 years. That was when UTA was done on Ceramic Ave. Never had a reason to return. But now I just might just to see the layout.
I was thinking to myself, "My, God I've never heard such a realist HO engine in my life." The I dropped the entire description down and read it. I think you did a great job on the video, I have to add you to the list because I think there are going to be many more like this one.
great layout, these guys must be big CSX fans! Love the first model train sceen with the KATO CSX C44-9s!!! awesome My hobby store has those same units for sale.
There is a similar RR club here in Baltimore MD-the Society of Model Engineers! They have a similar setup with HO/O gauge. Really like the Chessie train myself-days gone by! But-how many of you are familiar with the REAL Zane's Trace (pre-Nat'l Pike)? Traveled that route many times myself! May eventually post video. I've passed through Zanesville many times-really dig the "Y" Bridge!
Another superb video, Kodi, keep up the excellent work (if one can call model railroading and railfanning work...!!!) The layout is outstanding...I am going to have to see it for myself soon. Thanks...
Excellent sound production! On the first train I really had to double check to make sure I was still watching a hobby train and not the real thing lol.
That is one cool model rr layout. Love the club's locomotives in that paint scheme and ex CSX colors. Just from this, im making changes on my model rr acquisitions and adding more locomotives thats undecorated to be painted in my own road's fictional name, the "ZGM", a coal hauling rr situated in northern Minnesota, Manitoba, and Alberta Canada. This rr hauls a lot of coal as well as lumber products and paper products.
Very nice video with great scenery and detail. You have given me some ideas about splitting the sound track from some real train videos and adding the sound to some early Lionel engines that really sound phony on a model layout. Thanks for sharing this video from 2011. I'm sorry to hear the club layout does no longer exist.
EXCELLENT, PERFECT and AWESOME!!! Nice job on videoing and placing the sound just right. Also the layout, scenery, trains and action was perfect. Hope to see more videos in the future. Keep up the good work.
This is a totally amazing video! The work done on the scenery is mind-blowing and the way the audio has been added with the trains moving at scale speed is really well done. I have yet to see one of our British model railway clubs approach this kind of detail.
@Southerntreatment Thank you Joe, Good to hear from you. I am starting to get better at this narration thing I guess. Thanks for watching and the great comment dude!
I wondered why I wasn't getting any of your videos for such a long time. Searched for you again and found out I had lost my subscription to your channel. Hope to see you pumping out videos!
Great layout, but also,by far the best audio I have heard on any videos I have watched, also the camera placements are perfect, almost hard to tell it is a model layout!
Hey, great video .... with some serious sound editing. Really nice job on that. I think the last view under the bridge from 6:30 to the end was the best.
kickass vid Kodi- love the narration and keith urban song! sweet shots dude! sweet intro too!! haha i have those CR E8s! awesome sound effects and lashups!
It is like 15 dollars a month, Unfortunately this layout no longer exist. We still have a club but are looking for a new building at the moment for the new layout.
@erielackawannaman Thanks, I hope these videos will keep getting better for you guys. I enjoy making them! Thanks for the compliment!! It is even better in person!
nice! just saw one I'm considering putting in the middle of my 2 twin track wathers and its a wathers also. Have you seen there twin track rotating bridge? saw one last night on ebay looks awesome and I would make it stationary and use the little building for something on the layout.
@bullfrog1954 I am not real familiar with Zanesville, I live about a hour away from it. But I know it has alot of history and the Y bridge is believed to be the only one of its type in the world. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, We are currently looking for a new building. But easier said then done.

Why would people dislike this? Some people don't know the difference between a nerd and a railhead!
Thank you!
