Flawless maiden Cliff. She;s an nice little flyer :-). I would have liked to see more about the electronics, motor, receiver, servos etc. That rear facing camera view is a very interesting perspective, watching the control surfaces do their job is quite hypnotic.

You're not wrong there Mick, I like to cover the whole project if I can but the videos would take forever to film and edit so the build videos are more of an overview. Looks like a real smooth flyer. It seems to have lots of lift. It handled the extra weight of the camera no problem. if you had a forward-facing camera with a transmitter, you could stream the video to your phone or tablet and fly it from the "cockpit" in real time while still on the ground.

Brilliant Cliff, from a kit to flight 👍🏻. I recon the landing gear pushed forward would defiantly help the landing tip. She flew brilliantly, very floaty. Do you add rudder to your aileron mix?
Thanks Chris, you can mix rudder in for coordinated turns but I prefer to do it manually most of the time. Actually this model doesn't have ailerons to mix, they're just pieces of red to jolly the wing up (and to hide a covering boo boo but don't tell anyone) 😁👍
These vintage-style designs did have short noses Stephen, I guess for the huge lump of diesel engine in the nose, we have motors and batteries of course. With a different design of undercarriage (similar to the Atom for instance) the battery could have been further forward, negating the need for all the lead in the nose!
Hi Timo, the cg on the plan at 55mm back from the leading edge was ok, if you're in doubt take it to 50mm back from the leading edge, she's a very gentle flyer, cheers.👍

At 1st looks like the nose is a bit short and so would be tail heavy. But not the case it flies very well anf looks like a nice vintage cruiser. 👍🏻
