the way to go for miles is to do the "churn" for sign on bonuses.
if you do the churn for 6 cards annually,you can probably get around 200k miles pa.
Do this over 10 years with 3 months buffer for the traditional 12 month "New to Bank" crap, you probably can get 200k miles x 120miles/15 = 1.6milliom miles over 10 years.
