Thank you for this video. My compressor is starting to sound laborered like it may need a bit of oiling. I hope I can get to the intake and just hit it with a spray of fogging oil. This really helps. Thanks.
The way these things work is that the jump pack charges the cars dead battery and then supplements extra current to help the cars battery start the car. The internal batteries cca capacity can be lower than what is required to start the car because of this. Only if the cars battery is sulphated will the jump pack not start the car. It will easily start a big block if the battery in the car is drained but not sulphate. I start my diesel with my fatback often.
I've only used my charger about five times in the last two years. It would work just fine until about two weeks ago. I took it off of my truck to charge it up because I figured it was dead. No lights where on are doing anything. Charge it for 24hours and still nothing. Did you find a fuse or something that I could begin the trouble shooting or do you think it's DONE?
I have one just like it, I used it two or three times and left it charged, time passed and I saw that it had no charge, I put it to charge for two days and the battery is dead...
Storage trick... . get a good outlet timer. one that's digital so you have day settings. set it to go on for let's say 1-3 hrs on sunday . plug it in and your pack will be maintained but you won't cook your battery
I was expecting to see "disassembly". Therefore the video has not helped me to remove the cover and the arms to access the inside although I think I have removed all the screws. I guess not. Thank you for what you have shown.
Pedro Nieves that’s unfortunate, it could be the ac power block that has the wall plug on it is bad. You could test it with a multi meter. The other thing it could be is some component on the main circuit board. If you don’t want to fix it you could always just charge it by leaving it connected to a running car with the switch on.
We were interested in doing the same, but talked ourselves out of it. A LiFePO4 battery requires a different type of charger. A SLA charger (like in this device) runs the risk of over/undercharging and potentially overheating (i.e., fire!) when attached to a LiFePO4 battery. What you would have to do is also replace the internal wall charger.
Hello. And thanks for you video. Now I have a problem and I need some help. Mine don't charge. Whene I connect is like I didn't, I can see nothing in the screen I opened to see if any cables are lose but I can't find nothing. It is still working if have 3 line charge , but something happens. Ca you or any body can help me. Thanks
Osvaldo Azahares, Pedro nieves had the same problem. You can charge it with your car by connecting the jumper cables and switching the red switch while the car is running but I don’t know how to fix the wall charging problem. Maybe Pedro has a solution
I hooked it up backwards and now it won't jump (or do anything else). took it apart and checked the battery, It has 12 and a half volts. what did I burn up?
Hello. Mine performs as should. But randomly the compressor turns on by itself and start inflating multiple times a day. I have to press the compressor button to turn it off. What could it be? I just test it today and the compressor is working fine.
Since you've already voided your warranty, replace that lead acid battery with nickel metal hydride. NiMH LSD can survive up to 2000 charge cycles, discharge 2.5% per year on average, can last 15 years on average, and have a maximum operating temperature of over 100°C (212°F). Li+ can only survive up to 1000 charge cycles, discharge 20% per year, only last about four years, and they tend to explode at 80-90°C (170-190°F). PbA can only really last 350 charge cycles, discharges completely in the matter of months, lasts two to three years IF CODDLED LIKE A DELICATE BABBY (less than 6 months otherwise), and quickly burns out above 45°C (113°F)
Do you know how to troubleshoot the USB components. When i upturn the USB ports. When i turn the usb on, it turns blue. When i attach a charging cord still no problem, but when i attach a device, it shuts down thanks
Can anyone give me any insight as to why mine won't turn off? It seems to have a mind of its own. The air compressor also randomly came on but that was a singular occurrence thank goodness, because it really creeped me out. However no matter what I try to do to turn off the unit, the display will stay on, and if it turns off by itself it'll come back on after 5 minutes and flicker every 10 seconds until it turns off again. Idk what to do with it. It was a Christmas gift.
Does anyone have an idea why mine will only work when it's plugged in? When it's plugged in it says it's fully charged but when I unplug it I get nothing
does anyone know what the resister is on the board in the middle of the unit (at the top). I was pumping up my tire and the unit stop. I went into the unit and the center circuit card resistor in the middle of the unit was burnt so bad that when I touch the resistor it fell off
Very helpful, I was a little worried about taking mine apart to replace the battery but I feel a lot better about it now.
Thank you. It was great to see why this is the size it is. Decent size battery. Enjoyed your video. 👍

Sorry, spellcheck changed some of my wording.

Lead acid battery is likely kaput.

Well done, but can the battery be swapped out? How's it holding up after the autopsy? 🙄
I have mine open too. I was impressed as well. But mines broke. Trying to figure it out. Your battery is Vietnamese mine is Chinese

There are like 4 screws on the back and like 4 on the front that uses Alen wrench don't know the size but they are easy tu see
How do you charge it ? How to plug in and such can you show us please
I have and I'm currently watching it again
Bro I jus found one of these on my to work plugged it in to charge turned right on offer up here I come lol
Cool video. What would happen if you rig up an 18 volt lithium ion battery. This battery takes too long to charge
Do you know why mine will start charging as soon as its plugged in but about 5 seconds later it stops?
I have a 19AH sealed AGM motorcycle batt for misc use and it's rated for 260CCA
How did you remove the back. We removed the screws but can't figure out how to remove the frame.
I went to RUclips and got the removal instructions
The one I have does not want to charge. I plug it to a wall outlet and do anything. It's still works because the battery is still charge it.

@@lsm13b66 thank you. You mean leaving it connected but not with the red bottom on the on position(same as if i would jump a car)?
@@pedronieves5845 yes!
@@lsm13b66 thak you. I will try!!!
@@lsm13b66 I opened my unit and found that the resistor/diode was burnt. DO anyone know which resistor the 1000 uses?
Can you please take a picture of the 12volt charger inside the unit. I need to replace the broken one for my Stanley 1200. Thx!
Any help on powering up this device will help. Thanks

Is possible to put a Lithium battery in? My Faxmax can't hold a charge anymore.

Where can I find a new compressor replacement?
My compressor kicks on all by itself do you have any advice
Can I buy a new compressor. Mine has a stripped gear
Can a replacement battery be purchased for this?
Yes, I would just take yours out and measure it to be sure but it's a standard SLA battery.
It's similar to what would be in an ATV or something.
My faxmax with inverters say 700 cranking amps

Osvaldo Azahares so did ET2 carbon
Is there any fuse that I can change
Thanks. I 🤔 but I didn't see pedro issue. And he never said if working or not after your answer
How often should u recharge it.?

I would think it's the switch with the big red knob causing your issues.
@@lsm13b66 I'll give it a shot! Thanks!

Honestly, the fact that it won't crank a '69 Oldsmobile seems pretty irrelevant to 99.8% of the population...

Not good. Didn’t last more than 3 years for me. Contacted Stanley and they neither serviced nor replaced. Only choice: buy another. Not cool.
