    Richtig stark und für das 8000gr knacken hat sich die Aktion mit dem Lack gelohnt :) Ein richtig geiles Rad, Zugführung ist auch noch auf der hellen Seite der Macht. Wenn RUclips weg guckt => richtige Reifen drauf und entsprechend der Geo fliegen lassen :) Dann sind die paar Gramm auch egal, um das volle Potential der Karre raus zu kitzeln.

And I don't think it's a seat found on ANY pro xc racer's bike. Am I wrong? I also wonder fi the rotors have enough surface area on them to be used on a pro's bike. Any pros using them?

    I've always found it ridiculous how much some people worry about bike weight. Most lightweight parts come at the cost of comfort, performance and durability. You end up with a really lightweight bike but it will ride and feel far worse than its "normal" counterpart. I will always pick comfort and performance first. Saving a few pounds isn't worth it and a heavier bike makes you a stronger rider.

    • @mikemono
      @mikemono  2 года назад +6

      It is kinda an obsession. Some people do twice the everesting in one row. Some people ride a bike race for 3 weeks. It is not like he does care a lot about it. It is just great to see how much you can save and how cool it is to produce your own carbon parts. For me the lightweight is just a plus - the passion and time he invested in the handcrafted parts is priceless.
      Also, u can't make a fully uncomfortable... Maybe without a saddle but thats a different story 😁

      I always wanted to side with practicality and mock the "weight weenies" but... when I finally hopped on my moms too small but ultra light hybrid bike and took it onto the grass and felt the feeling of pedaling once and accelerating and coasting up the hill as fast as I had to maintain power mashing cadence on my MTB to be going... I was HOOKED. There is a reason performance car builders strip a car down to the barest essentials and spare no expense on aftermarket lightweight replacements, it's incredible how the same powerplant with no mods becomes twice as sharp and agile, suddenly the stock motor no one cares about becomes white knuckled alive with only half the weight holding it back!
      It has complicated my search for my new bike. I was settled on 35+ pound alloy all mountain or enduro smashers before, but now I'm conflicted and also want a short travel rocket!
