There are two virtual conditions with a two frame composite position. The upper frame creates a VC relative to ABC. The lower creates a VC with respect to the features within the pattern and to any specified datum reference frame.
👍 one request - can you make video for gd&t from start? 2-3 parts assembly is ok.want to know about, 1.Datum selection criteria 2.Tol.value logic/ process limitations/design requirements etc. 3.MMC for clearance /asm requirements etc. 4.simultaneous DRF etc.
This is a technicality, but if the tolerance does not have the MMC modifier, it does not have a "virtual condition". It still has a worst case boundary, but it is now called the maximum material boundary or MMB. Same calculation though. And, the calculation for both virtual condition and MMB is MMC hole minus the position.
Hii Can you make video on usage of profile as a datum, what is exactly needed by this and how does the measurement software perform profile as a datum, whether the deviation of profile will have any impact on the holes falling on that profile ?
Profile is a symbol and cant be a datum. I assume you are asking about a curved surface as a datum feature. It is difficult to measure and usually requires a fixture or software. A true geometric counterpart is created as the inverse shape of the feature. The high points of the feature contact the TGC to constrain the part. In theory the variation of the datum feature do not affect other features because the measurement datum is perfect. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your support. I had cleared GDTP senior level.
You are a great teacher, and not just virtually.
Virtual rizz comment
OMG. I completed the SAE online training recently and here I finally learned what a virtual condition was in 2 minutes.
Thanks for your explanation of gd & t. it's very helpful to my work.
Great video. Very helpful!
This video is amazing. Thank you.
Very clear explanation
Another really great video. One question though: Does the calculation of the VC change if we have a composite FCF?

thanks for your explanatıon

And what if MMC is not used? Is the positional tolerance still added to the MMC hole size to calculate the virtual condition?
