Sandi, you had amazing and heartbreaking lambing this season. You’re an amazing shepherdess, loving each and everyone of your flock with your whole being. I can’t believe how many triplets there were in this group!! It was a HUGE breeding group and you should be very proud of the hard work you’ve done. Thank you for sharing your wonderful flock and family with us.
What always amazes me … is you guys fix things - right away You don’t try to make do or wait til … you just fix what is not working … like the door knob … there are some people that would have used duct tape or Jerry rigged it some how… you just went to the store, got a new door handle and fixed the problem …. I LOVE THAT …
Mark can really shovel it 😂 he is so funny. You guys are soulmate. I love watching you talk it’s funny. You guys have the marriage my parents did and they were married for over 70 years.
Same! I was hoping she'd of posted yesterday. I was legit looking at the days in between her videos to see if I could predict when she'd post again. I'm still spoiled from Vlogmas and her daily videos🤣🤣🤣🤣
When I grow up, I want to be just like YOU (I’m 33😉)❤️ Absolutely love your content and the fact that you go in depth about certain things. You have no idea how much you teach your viewers and I’m always intrigued & wanting more! Please always continue to share, it really is appreciated more than you know! Much love and congrats on a successful lambing group❤️
The thing that amazes me, is I can actually recognize Big Momma by her face. I never thought I would be able to tell the sheep apart just on their faces.
FYI my name is Lucy, so when you say “good job Lucy” or “quit showing your butt hole Lucy” I really pay attention. 🤪 Been watching your channel for about 3 years. Very motivating and enjoyable. When I was a small child living in Montana I would watch them herd thousands of sheep alone the railroad tracks and tell my family that I wanted to be a professional sheepherder.
When you started that “when I was a child…” story after mentioning suddenly paying attention when someone says “quit showing your butthole”, I got very worried about what kind of story we were going to get lol
It never ceases to amaze me how hard you work, Sandi. In addition, you have to be mechanics for all those contraptions that you have. You two are truly an inspiration and your husband is amazing, and handsome as well. He picked a good woman in you Sandi. You are so dedicated and love your lambs. I look forward to your vlogs, and that too is another big chore. You go girl!
Missed seeing the heart/house lambs today. I love seeing how well they are doing. Also how is the crooked necked lamb? hugs and love from my little corner of Kentucky
I was REALLY needing a Sheepishly Me video today. Your stats were amazing, much better than I was expecting. Oh YAY! Mark was on the video with you...you two are so comical. What a beautiful couple you are. As always, blessings to your family.
Hello Sandi, I love everything you do but, I have to tell you the when I see the lambs headed for the ramp, I start telling them not to go there. I know you raise them for business…I just can’t help it! Takes great fortitude to do what you do…Loving thoughts to your whole family❣️
Sometimes you just need to cook a little longer 😂 I was a little late as well, my older sister was a little too early, and my little brother was right on time! 3rd times the charm as my mom said
I have a feeling she’ll be keeping a lot of the ewes lambs to replace the ones that were shipped. I’m sure even if she doesn’t, Red will still stay. My worry is what’s going to happen to Matty because he’s a boy.
Opposites attract my husband says because if you were both the same one of you wouldn’t be necessary ( we compliment each other! We are not the same! 44 years married next month ❤️💕)
Bravo Mark on your attitude of never failing, I absolutely love your channel Sandi. Lately I’ve gotten through by rewatching your videos. Thank you for being you, you are perfect just the way you are.
It must be one of the more emotional and difficult times when you send your lambs to be processed. The lambs are fulfilling the reason they were born but you put your heart and sole into caring for them and their mothers. It’s what farming is about but I imagine it’s still both a happy and sad time.
If I were a bird and could fly anywhere I wanted to, I would fly to Sandis barn so I could get a bird’s eye view of everything that goes on in the barns! Oh wait Sandi HATES the birds. If I were a mouse, oh wait Lucy eats mice, a fly maybe? I guess a bird and just stay out of the way 🌷💚🙃
Great video! I think your lambing results are great. Quints and quads amazing and those triplet results phew. No wonder you and Carissa were smashed especially with bottle baby numbers. Nice to see Mark doing his own thing. Be proud Sandi of all you achieve!
Sandi , As I get older, Things are so overwhelming at times, then I see you taking on so much, n I wonder, how you will be able to keep going, as time goes on, cause dang girl, you got ur hands full n So much on your plate, God Love ya.. Love watching your videos, Was nice seeing Jess on ur video today, even if only for a minute.. stay safe n take care.. Love ya
Sandi, I love 💕 you and your lambs so much that when I was looking around on my phone (not an iPhone) to discover what I hadn't seen before. I was super delighted to see lamb as a ñotification sound. So now whenever I get a notification I get a short sweet baaa. Just enough to make me stop, smile 😄 and say a tiny prayer 🙏 your way. Thanks for letting me watch you and get myself back under control. You are Great!!
Oh my goodness - when you were peering into the grain bin with your glasses on the end of your nose it looked JUST like Jess!! Both of you are so pretty! P.S. You DO have a great husband, but he also has a great wife!
Yippee Jess is home! I love when my kids are done with their finals and head back home for the summer or break. One more week here! I hope she is feeling tiptop and is looking forward to a great summer. Congratulations on such a successful lambing. The things we learned (that you did to save lambs) was truly amazing to witness! Rock star Sandi at work!💫💫💫💫💓
Sandi love seeing all the babies but especially enjoy seeing willow and Matty…. Will you be retaining them to the herd?? Would rather enjoy watching them grow up
wow now that was a roller coaster of a ride with the lambing, but worth every minute of it. Thank you so much Sandi for taking the time to film, edit, upload and look after your flock. We all are thankful for sharing this with us. A lot of work but the rewards are so worth it. :)
Lamb chops. Lamb mince burger. etc. To market they go ...what they 'think' about it, it isn't about the position they are in with regards slaughter. They have no such capacity for conceptual thinking.
Warning: cranky rant here "they knew where they were going" No they didn't, that is you projecting. The only other time they had been in the trailer they were taken to a barn where they had all they wanted to eat and the company of lambs they had known since birth. They were not afraid as they had never been mistreated in their lives. Now they were going on a longer trailer ride to end up at a barn with lots of other animals. Interesting, but not scary. Their biggest complaint is that they wouldn't get any dinner and next morning no breakfast. There would be lots happening around them, people, cattle, goats, and sheep going up and down the alleys between the pens, and people coming to look at them. Then down to a big pen with more people looking at them, then off down a different alleyway to another truck. If they had been bought by another farmer they would get a ride to their new home. Otherwise they would get a ride to a new place, then one at a time, they would be sent down another ramp then, darkness. In Canada they receive a massive electric shock to the brain, killing them instantly and painlessly. Death is part of life. Every thing that lives will die. Unfortunately in our culture death is viewed almost as something "unnatural", something almost obscene and so people make uneasy jokes about it. Watching lambs we have seen born and grow be loaded on a trailer, causes some, to project their own unease onto them. The lambs themselves do not have that fear, they have no knowledge of death. They are nervous about change, because sheep are prey animals and love routine, and a long trailer ride and a new barn, is well, new. THEY however are NOT thinking "Oh no, we are going to our DOOM!. Oh, cruel fate!"
I have been watching way too much of Cammy and his sheep game gang. When you let that first ewe out of her claiming pen and one of her lambs kept wandering back, my first thought was to give Meg the “look back” command. She needed to look around and find this little lambie and herd her/him back to mom. Luckily she did it on her own because Meg was nowhere to be found!
I am happy for you that lambing is done. Its been a total marathon. Love you facial expression when describing the patient, kind, drop everything to help Mark. 🤣
I just get started working on my koi pond, and bam I get a notification that Sandi has a video up.. gotta take a break before I even get started. Thank you Sandi I love your sheep and you!!!!
I think you are so lucky to have Mark. If my hubby got me inside a huge steel bin with such a high entrance, he would shut the door and leave me there! 🤣
I like how he said “everyone just needs to learn their skill set”. That’s so true. Hubby and I share doing the repair work around the house. Each doing what they are better at. So as a team we can get it all done. (Mostly he is just the muscle. He’s good at construction. But I seem to have the head for most repair work.lol )
Wow so many triplets . When you feed the ewes and the lambs run back and forth and bouncing. You should have the popcorn music lol love when they do that . ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Watching you gives me the motivation to get up and go to my 13 hour shift today. Laying here debating if I should call In and seeing how hard you work made me feel lazy so I have to go lol thanks I needed the boost
Ah, bliss. A new video. Time to sit a bit after lunch with a cup of coffee, my knitting and 20 minutes or so of Sandi and her sheep. 💕💕. And then it is back to work - yard and garden stuff this time of year. But for now, pure enjoyment. Thank you Sandi for these videos and glimpses of your life.
Well, sounds like you had a much better season than it looked like at the time. Always seems that when there are problems, they all hit at once so it's pretty overwhelming. You handled it like a champ, as I knew you would! As for Mark never failing...ya gotta give him that 1! Abraham Lincoln once said, "you never fail until you quit trying!" Carry on, Brock Family!
Lol you poor thing. That first load was a true work out. Bless your heart for having such a desire for this breed. Are you keeping your two favorites out of this new batch of babies. Whisperers shhhhh I think you should. So you can start fan favs updates! Lol more work with camera. You might need to hire more help.
You really rock the loading on your own Sandi! I would go bonkers trying to do that myself, you have amazing patience with those stubborn lambs! Love getting my Sandi fix, can’t wait to what’s next now that lambing is pretty much done and more field work is coming!
In case you never got an answer, she has dividers between the sections to prevent this. There has been the occasional episode in the past where she forgot to move it and a lamb gets over etc, but generally the dividers do the job (and why the lambs/moms are numbered).
Mark needs a T Shirt that says "Equipment may break, Crops may fail, but I never do!"
Oh thats perfect!
Great
Yes👍🏼
Hilarious!
I would buy it!!
Please turn one of the lambs into a lamb-cam so we can see what it's like to run and jump with them 🥰
I Love your videos, thank you so much xXx
She did that before with younger Billy. She tried it on the dog, but then switched it to Billy.
Would be good to see it again though. I’d love to see what it is like popcorning lambs
Excellent idea!
@@dawnmason9558 you can’t go wrong with lambs. 😆
GENIUS!!! Talk about a blooper reel 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He doesn't fail. He learns another way of how not to do something. Smart guy
You only "fail when you stop trying." Mark just keeps trying...
It's not a "FAIL', it is a learning experience!
😄 Anyone else envision those lambs escaping out the barn running free with a screaming Sandi behind them yelling "OH NO, OH NO, OH NO"? 😂
