My January thrifting experiences have been mixed. I’ve found a lot of great clothes this month, but not so much home decor. Maybe people purged their clothes, but not their home decor. I’ve barely seen any Christmas. What I see is picked over. This is in NJ - I’ve been exploring as many different stores as I can. It’s great fun.
Hi there, I'm new to your channel. I absolutely love it. Thanks for taking us with you. I am very sick all the time and videos lift my sprits. Watching you from Douth Africa. Stay blessed Kirsty
Hey Kirsty, thanks for watching! I’m sorry to hear that you are unwell, but glad that I can make you feel a little better with my videos. Sending you good thoughts!
You passed by a nice sized straw Yule goat at the Salvation Army and I’ve been shopping for one. I was shouting at the TV “YULE GOAT!! Get the Yule Goat!!! 😂😂
It’s so fun to go thrifting “with” you on your channel- I sometimes say, “wait, go back!” when you pass things by, and sometimes say, “Yes!” when you pick them up. 😊 To your question about January thrifting, my local thrift stores have quite a bit of Christmas decor marked way down and bundled, but it’s been so cold that I don’t think people have made good on their traditional New Year’s resolutions to purge household goods yet because I’m not seeing as much as I’d like to see. I think for us, the time to thrift will be in Spring. -Fort Wayne, IN ❤
Hey Katie, I love that you are having fun thrifting with me! Sometimes when I watch it back, I say “wait! What was that?!?” to myself 😂 Gtk that you’re seeing the same stuff in the thrift store this time of year. Thanks for thrifting with me 😉
Thrifting in January has not brought the treasures I’d hoped for so far. Live your videos !!! I appreciate the voice and music overs for various reasons.
The yellow vase is beautiful. I was wondering is it hard to sell on Poshmark? I have several antique ironstone items I would love to sell but I live in a really small town and most do not have the funds out here to buy your wares. I am just looking for an option to sell them. Thank you
Thank you! RE: Poshmark. It's pretty easy to use as far as platforms go. They take a cut of what you make, but most host sites take something. If you want to sell a few pieces and do not want a "store," eBay might be a good fit. There are pros and cons to all of the hosting sites, so check out their services and see which one is the best fit for your needs. Ironstone is a collector's item, so I'm sure those people are searching for it online. Good luck!
It is beautiful, but I left it behind. I'm hoping I can find one that is in better condition. The SA is on Long Island. I don't remember the town's name off the top of my head, but it was about 40 minutes from NYC.
@ awe, shucks! I never see stuff like that in NJ. It’s all West Orange Elks pint glasses and high school team jackets! Lol. Your BF must live in LI since you head out that way so often. I can’t imagine you take the LIRR with Coco on the regular. : ) Keep en eye out for one for me, too, even if the condition isn’t great.
What a nice job you have done on your yellow jar! Just stunning 🤗
Thank you! I’m loving it, too. Yellow is so bright and cheerful this time of year 💛
It really is beautiful! Good eye to see through to that beauty.
I'm dying....the Belleek creamer and sugar bowl and Humpty Dumpty nutcracker!
Are they?!? I think they are the ones I got from my Nana, I'll have to double-check!

We can do without the loud, annoying music..😢

I love the yellow pot!!
Thank you! 😍
My Salvation Army in Alexandria, VA also organizes by color. It’s nice.
I’ll put that one in my list! Thanks for watching 🙂

Wow, your thrift shop has a lot of nice, old dishes. Believe me when I say they aren’t all like that. There’s lots of treasures there!
Thanks for watching!
Did you buy the NYC/Central Park blue and white plate? Unclear. I love it! Which SA were you thrifting at? Thanks!

Loved your video. What did you use to paint the yellow vase. Its beautiful. 😊
I haven't even been out to the thrift store yet 😔
Pickin’s have been slim, so you may not be missing much 😕
Would the pot you stripped go with the re-framed botanical art?
Oooooo, yes, that would be a pretty combo. 💛
you left that fabulous Bordallo Pinheiro plate behind at 15.47 😭
It might still be there . . .
