    C'est une des plus belle interprétation du V concerto de Beethoven que j ai pu entendre:
    le tempo est juste , et le chef d orchestre pianiste que je découvre est merveilleux au clavier

    Azt hittem elrontja hogy nem lesz benne elég kajak. Egy zenész 40-es éveiben van saját tudása csúcsán. Ritka ember aki 50-es éveiben tudja azt a szintet tartani.Ám olyan hogy egy idős ember még mindig fejlődjön meseszàmba megy. 20 éve ezt nem tudta volna így megcsinálni. Zseniàlis volt. Köszönöm Schiff úr

      Try Wilhelm Kempff under either Ferdinand Leitner or van Kempen if you haven’t. They are magical.

    Asombroso nivel musical de la orquesta. Solos orquestales impecables y muy expresivos. Excelente trabajo de preparación orquestal. Sonido orquestal muy elaborado en las direcciones de intensidades, preparación de las cadencias y con una propuesta de interpretación casi inusual. El virtuoso y modesto Maestro András Schiff realizó un extraordinario trabajo técnico musical. Un Beethoven maravilloso y ejemplar .

    Wonderful performance, as ever from this great Master.
    But I'm intrigued! Some of the instruments appeared to be "period" (the trumpets were noticeably so) but he plays the modern Bösendorfer Imperial grand piano - with its 97 keys.

    Andras Schiff hatte sich nach Bach erst komplett mit Beethoven beschäftigt - und er zählt sicher zu den ganz Großen Pianisten bezüglich Beethoven. Es ist eben speziell Schiff und Beethoven. Ich persönlich liebe eher die Ausdrucksweise von Barenboim
    Aber es ist nur Geschmacksache. Es gibt ja noch weitere grossartige Pianisten die einfach alle auf ihre Art zu den großen Meistern zählen 😂.Schiff ist einer der besten mit seinem Bach .

    Interesting that he adds the piano chords at the end, which I would have thought a late 19th century flourish, out of style with his conception of the piece.

    wow he kind of butchered the opening cadenza already... i will stick to Zimerman and Gould! Schiff is a master nonetheless!!

    Eine gute Einspielung, jedoch gegen Gould/Stokowski, eher ein bisschen langweilig.

      Gould hat mit Beethoven und Mozart schreckliche Missverständnisse produziert.
      Leonhard Bernstein fühlte sich sogar verpflichtet, das Publikum in NY zu warnen, dass mit Gould's Interpretation eine besondere Herausforderung auf sie warten würde.

    last movement like a Schubert March. trying to be original, very dry articulation , especially to the acoustics in this hall

      @@MrKlemps You'll always notice a few of these comments on videos of Schiff, it is because of his ethnic background and opposition to the populist charlatans Viktor Orbán and Jörg Haider.

      @@fink7968 Agreed. Most of the “thumbs-down” and ridiculously negative comments are from people whose national pride was hurt, or from those who feel Schiff did not recognise their musical ‘genius.’ He is sometimes (for some folk) unpalatably honest.
