- What’s going on in the Video: Air Brakes on, Foot Brake pressed for 2-3 secs and Released for 3-5 secs and Repeated.
The Initial Problem: Transmission to Engine Bell housing bolts came loose, opening up a 1/2” Gap on the very top and drivers side of the bell housing.
Missing Bolts were replaced and transmission & engine Remarried.
Transmission threw a Error code 27: Clutch Disengagement.
Truck will NOT go in drive/reverse.
Upon opening up the Inspection Hatch, 2 small springs(1/2” long .2 in diameter) and a broken up half moon shaped shim fell out, the radius of a 3” circle @ .125 wide and .050 thick.
Hypothesis: The ECA(electronic clutch actuator) may have been damaged or Something mechanical was damaged causing the Fault 27.
Problem is yet to be Determined.

!!! Problem Found/Solved: Clutch could not disengage.!!!
The little Springs(7 per plate) were from the 2 Clutch Plates, the 3” OD shim was what held the 21 splined center piece to the plate.
New CLUTCH was needed.
ECA was good.
FYI: Check your Bell Housing Bolts to make sure they have Not come Loose!
Lucky the flywheel housing didnt crack. Just finished replacing a cracked flywheel housing. Had a clutch replaced about 6 months ago by some other shop. top 4 bolts were loose. 1 of which was found in the ECA guard. crap job too. was in a CNG fueled volvo with a ISX12. Found out the housing on a ISX12 is much worse to install than a isx15
Please refer to Eaton manual clsm0200. Anytime there is a possibility of engine housing damage the runout should be checked. Make sure to lube the cross shaft and use the proper alignment tool when installing a clutch.
Judging from the fork repetitive action TCM doesn't see the shaft stopping which is due to clutch brake piece missing/broken. I have not worked on autoshift only manual transmission. My analysis is based on visual comparison. Just my input since there's no narrative in the video. Hope this helps you. 🤟

I have a problem with my automatic transmission, it hits only once when it slows down, its sound is similar to a clutch but it is new.
Looks like something is missing on throw out bearing
Has anyone dealt with these inertia brakes coming apart?
yes, i just did one on one of these because it was in pieces in bellhousing. Too much play in input shaft caused it for me

Where is the dialogue to show what is being presented, to me it looks like the clutch is wayyy out of adjustment to stop the output shaft from spinning but you must tell us. Visual effect is great but no dialogue.????

Yes ,,, I’ve done three clutches with this transmission setup,,, what happens is the springs in the clutch will brake,, then usually get jamed in the front clutch causing it not to disengage,,, trans ecm sees no disconnect , it sets codes then no gear engagements

well the inertia brake is clearly not working for one.

What fault codes are you getting? Is your cab a KW?
