Any tips with high wind? We got the same boat with a Newport 55LB Thrust trolling motor, and if there's any kind of wind we get blown around like crazy, Even putting the motor on full thrust can barely push back. Second issue is that the wires connected to the batter seem to get crazy hot - Not sure if that's normal.
Hey hope all is well. I got my intex 5 because of you. Family loves it! One question, my boat recently got stolen from my car. And I was going to buy the same Intex five. But I saw an all blue version on Amazon. I had the mostly gray partly blue combo. Same As your in this videos. But do you know if there is a difference in quality between the all blue intex five excursions. I don’t see thenall blue for sale on there website. But I see them on Amazon. And they’re all blue. Just ordered some 'Flex Tape' to carry with us which was recommended to me during the summer here in UK 🇬🇧 at Lake Windermere Marina but I forgot about it until I just seen your video. A very strong quick temporary fix rubberized water proof tape just incase.
@@ThePNW Thanks, that's great the patch worked for you. Yes its important to carry patches/tape on board which is what I'll do from now on. I also got advised from an RNLI officer to wear a buoyancy aid at all times because in his words he said and I quote 'they are absolutely useless if not'. I'd consider myself a strong swimmer completing many triathlons here but I always wear a buoyancy aid (vest) no matter what when taking the exursion out. 👍

As a mentioned before thanks to your videos we have the same set up, same motor, same battery charger etc thank you again for your guidance(videos) your effort is truly appreciated. They're exactly the same... You can see an all-blue one in one of my thumbnails. In my opinion, the blue one looks better. Glad you're liking it!

I got that too but never put the tape in our boat box. For what it’s worth, those patches that come with the Excursion do a gray job..

Hi Shar, there was actually a large forest fire nearby so the smoke was giving it a hazy look
Do you have to register the raft with a trolling motor?
No... Washington lets you off if your boat is under a certain length and small motor
...I don't remember the exact numbers but the Excursion and 40-lb thrust motor I use doesn't exceed them
Next on the list is a lithium battery but I'll only buy one on Amazon because they are so good for returns just incase.
It makes taking the Excursion out much easier. I got a Battle Born and it’s worth every penny
