Found my first civil war eagle button last week with the legend in Warrenton Georgia. Creek bottom had been raining and used beach multi wet. Bout 6 inches down. Still impressed with legend after a year.
Thanks for your testing!!! I don’t have saltwater beaches to dig. Most of my soil is not highly mineralized, but often trashy. I’ve kept my Legend on 1.10 beta2 and love it. Not yet felt a need to go 1.11. Don’t think I’ll go back to 1.09 at this time. Always love your Videos!!!

For me deep would be 8". I can not discern any difference in depth or stability between 1.09 and 1.11. I do like the additional features of 1.11 even though I rarely use them.

I've been running mine with the IF on 8 due in part to loads of iron and heavy mineralization, not getting silver but getting everything else and at good depth, say 9 -12 inches. Either the silver is gone or my approach is off slightly. What is your advice?
You will be missing a lot of trickier targets with if like that but won’t false on iron , lower the if , when you start digging iron raise the if up one , then you should be good to go . Regarding the silver You haven’t swung over it , it isn’t any silver there , or it is masked by iron 👍🏻
Great video brother very informative and helpful i run stock settings due to I don’t really understand or know when to change the iron and bottle cap settings but the ol Legend does great for me I know it could do a lot more if I just knew when and how much to adjust the settings God Bless and happy dirt fishing…Virgil
In field mode weaker means deeper or a smaller target. So you need to dig those if your area has deep keepers. Generally speaking deeper is older unless you're on farm land or a salt water beach where sand can get moved around a lot.
Mr. Dyson have you heard anyone having issues with the upgrade carbon mid rod for the legend. Just got mine and its awdul its loose and makes the legend terrible to swing

Performance wise the manticore is no way worth 1200£ more . There’s not much in it . It’s like a car they will both get you from a-z , just one has a bit more style than the other 👍🏻

Personnally in real life I hunt 95% field M2 60t, with relevant settings normal swing speed and no prior knowledge of target size/depth/location, to my ears signals on the 1.09 are easier to notice and deep targets seems to punch better, I pinpoint better, I have better audio infos on target caracteristics, sounds are more dynamic and cleaner with less rasspiness, ferrocheck bar feels more stable and reliable for iron and bad targets, big iron signals feels easier to recognize, the machine is less sparky and deals better with humid grounds. My soils are not mineralized and ground balancing doesn't give more depth or stability in both versions, I don't use fancy settings, Sens Reac IF Audio gain or Tone break Is the 1.11 more sparky because of the ground suppressor value of 0, and does that imply the 1.09 have a built-in positive ground suppressor value? Same for bottlecap? Does the frequencies have been reweighted? What are some of the other general improvements implemented and how do they affect the machine behaviour? When a machine is sold as a high end one, one could expect such questions soon or later You questionned yourself the 1.11 post release in a few videos about audio quality and iron recognition, I also questionned it, as well as some others, at this time you quickly stepped back saying it was probably an update procedure issue or an hardware build variation, now enought people are talking about it and official diagnostis point out meteo conditions or lack of knowledge, despite that I would buy another Legend over a D2 or a Nox anytime. Go to the legend software update nokta website do the same as you did with 1.11 but select 1.09 in the drop down bar instead . There’s a list of updates in there

Knock the IF down till you start digging to much iron and then when you do increase it by one

Do you dig the weak signals, maybe a weak beep on one swing direction only?
I wouldn’t use these settings and yes I sometimes do
