Not even. "There's a sucker born every minute." is a more factual statement. A $100 shoe that resells for $1500 isn't all of the sudden of the quality of a $1500 shoe. It's either somebody treating the shoe as an investment or somebody trying to buy expensive to flex on those who can't. The fact that the replicas can only be told as different from the originals if you take them off your feet and examine them for 5 minutes should tell you that if you pay resell, you're a goddamn sucker.
You have to remember, Nike isn't high fashion. The tolerances on their shoes isn't the same as Burberry or LV or something like that. It's certainly possible to get authentic sneakers that don't pass a black light test, that fall apart with use, that are touched up with paint, that have items slightly out of place, etc. That's why it's impossible to be 100% effective when it comes to authentication. Look up videos about StockX and authentication and how they fail regularly by letting fakes get into the system? Is that because they suck or because given the QC tolerances Nike has, fakes are close enough? The entire problem comes back to the resell market. If that didn't exist then replicas wouldn't be as profitable and there would be fewer of them.
Anybody on a budget who would spend thousands on a Chunky Dunky when replicas that are so good that they require close inspection to tell the difference for $115 while knowing that the leather isn't high quality on the authentic pair are either trying to turn a profit or aren't good managing their money.
Shoe is nowhere near worth $1,500, the fact that the 150 dollars fake can be near good is due to you paying over retail for what the dunks cost

The issue with this shoe is that the shoe is made out of Bs materials and it’s been proven already. So it’s only a matter of time when the fakes will almost perfect. Now comfort yea that’s where it matters

Watch the vid, I was skeptical of this also so I dug in and tested 9 pairs of fakes that I have compared on the past that were very close in quality and mixed in some authentic ones to try and trick them but all came back correctly authenticated. The reason why I think that an app like this will be hugely beneficial in the future is because this dedicated team will be reviewing many fakes with many future versions to come. For the price point it’s worth it for the extra professional service opinion, just my 2 cents.

Quick tip: Always do a black light check on the fakes, usually the black light will pick up cut and stitch lines and other markings, which you can't see otherwise.

As I say in the video, it would be the same question if you bought a fake Luka or Zion Rookie card that is worth $1500 if authentic? it comes down to if you want to buy authentic or not, but if you are trying to buy a $150 FAKE Luka or Zion card and are flipping them as real for $1500, then that is a problem.

For those who think the rep makers produce fakes with the same "materials and factory" are sadly mistaken. These rep makers have their own factories and they "try" to replicate the genuine products with mostly similar materials. Sometimes, it's the exact material if they're able to outsource it from the same providers as Nike, Adidas, etc. That's why there's no "true" 1-to-1 replica.

Just a PSA for anyone ready to pull the trigger on the fakes - if you are over a size 11US; don’t do it! Even-though the sites will list the Dunks as 12 or 13, they just sew the size tags on their 11s. That was a $200 and 3 weeks wait lesson; but my son was happy for ‘em.

To keep it real I buy real sneakers, like Jordans and SBs and things like that cause I consider them collectors items and obviously would want the real thing. I only buy high quality fake designer sneakers like Prada and brands like that cause I just like the way they look and they're just footwear to me. Especially since I wear them so infrequently and just wear them to a dark nightclub where I'm getting constantly stepped on.
