- Artwork by Take Me Back Pirate Radio Archives. In the September of 1997, Eruption FM sadly went off air, freeing up 101.3FM dial to a newly launched UK Garage pirate radio station called Erotic FM. The station began broadcasting in the weekends from the towers of Holy Street Estate, in the East London. They had a strict policy of playing soulful and vocal UK Garage music with a no MC policy which gave the station its own vibe over all the other pirates that had hosts or were crowded with MCs. This was an approach earlier adopted by London Underground FM, but even they broke out of that mould whilst stations like Erotic FM and Shine FM continued to have no MCs. There featured many top DJs on Erotic FM between 1997-2002: DJ Steve Courtney (aka DJ Manic), DJ Yankee (Bubbling Crew), DJ Steve Stritton, DJ Miley, DJ Confusion, DJ Ego, DJ Caz, DJ Paul Manning, DJ Strutt, DJ Keen, DJ Paul Sandi, DJ Glenn Stevens, DJ Rick-E, DJ Tony Nichols, DJ Blaze, DJ Jiggy G, DJ Storm, DJ T Logic & DJ Diesel D (The Vinyl Demons), and many more.
The station was closely associated with well known club nights across London and Essex, like Paul K's "A One Night Stand" @Gass Club, in Leicester Sq. Also holding events @Atlantis Epping Forest Country Club, with DJ Yankee's "Juicey", as well as running 'Phat Fridays' and 'Emotions'.

Out the 90s Garage ravers that used to rave at venues like: Gass Club, SW1 Club, Club Colosseum (Vauxhall), Camden Palace (Koko Camden), Legends Nightclub (Barking), Bagleys Film Studios (Kings Cross), Hippodrome (Leicester Sq), Leisure Lounge (Holborn), The New Connaught Rooms (Holborn), Epping Forest Country Club, The Rex (Stratford), Ministry Of Sound, Club Space (formerly The Powerhouse, Stratford), Linford Studios, Astoria (Charing Cross), Adrenaline Village, Velvet Rooms, Chelsea FC Executive Suites, The Temple Nightclub (Tottenham, (formerly Club UN)), The Arches (Vauxhall), Chunnel Club (Vauxhall), Bar Rumba (Shaftesbury Avenue), The Wag Club (Wardour St), The End Nightclub (Bloomsbury), The Ocean Club (Hackney), Eros Nightclub (Enfield), Fifth Avenue Nightclub (Ilford), Harlequins Nightclub (Ilford), Vivid & Elite (Romford, (formerly Hollywoods Nightclub)), Secrets Nightclub, RM1 Bar, Blue Orchid Nightclub (Croydon), and many other London venues that are no longer around.
