Thanks guys, This comparison should take place when Aputure 1200 is available.

I'll do a full comparison then. This was just an overview of the light and we only compared it to the Aputure 600d since many people already have that light but still need a bit more power

Very cool. You gotta do this video again when the 1200D drops. Would be great to see this compared to this light. I wouldn't mind picking up a 600x Bicolor.

I really like what this light offers, but I feel like if they put yoke mounts on the fresnel just 1" forward it would fix the balance issue. Same problem with the Forza 500 fresnel; it's difficult to get the light in an exact spot, as it tends to "sag" forward no matter how tight you lock the yoke down. Considering the price point of this is getting close to an Arri or Mole 1.8kw HMI, you'd figure they would have put the extra 5 minutes of testing into getting it to balance on a stand.

Gaffer and Gear measured : 69 % brighter than a 600D with fresnel in full spot and only 11% brighter in full flood. Let’s see what Aputure 1200 will bring us next.

    • @TomAntos

This is not a comparison of features. Just wanted to see if this new light is actually twice as strong as a 600 light. Since the Aputure 600d has a very accurate light output compared to their specs it was easy to measure if the nanlux is twice as bright. We just used the 600d as a benchmark. Once we have the not yet available Aputure 1200 light then we can compare the lights outputs and their features. Anyone who thinks we are saying that the nanlux is better than Aputure has clearly missed the point of this video. These are two totally different lights. Aputure 600d has already proven itself as a great light that I used on many productions. Before I buy the nanlux I wanted to see if it actually has 1200 output.
