Risa you are a great presenter, and I love the videos you guys make! It’s introducing me to so many new things, and inspiring me to travel to Japan and experience it for myself! 😁👍
I always have to watch these videos three times. Then first time is to fall in love with Risa. The second time, I try to learn something. And the third is to fall in love with Risa again.
thankyou so much for all your videos, it helps a lot of people especially ghe overseas wants to learn japanese cultures! looking forward for more 💓 love lots~
Amazing video!! Anyone know how they made those images at the end (When showing th vocabulary) that looked like drawings? I would love to know how to make them!
I could have used that money changer info when I was in Japan. At a game center I put ¥1000 in a machine that I thought was one but nothing came out. I couldnt figure out how to get my bill back out so I just had to walk away. Later I guessed that machine was actually for putting money on a card.
I've got a couple of questions, if anybody feel like they want to help me out. What's the difference between 「書いてあるから」and「書いてるから」? Because they seem to mean the same thing to me. And also what is the function of「から」here?
Hi there, ある means to be, so when you put it together with a verb such as To write you put it as 書いてある which brings the meaning of "To be written". Kara から has lots of meanings depending on the context, usually kara when is behind a verb can either mean "because of..." or "after ____" Example: たべる (To eat) 食べてから (Tabetekara) after eating. And if you want to say "because _____" Example: Why do you study Japanese? - Because I like it (suki kara) Also to mention, Kara is a short form of DAKARA だから. but that one is only used as the example of Suki kara(suki dakara). not as the one for Tabetedakara that would be wrong.

Oh ok! So in this example from the video「あ、あれはニュウスポットって書いてるから、新しいプリクラかな」the から is an abreviation of だから? "That says "new spot" and therefore/だから those might be new ones"?
I didn't hear her mention it but usually guys arent allowed if they are alone or just with other guys. This is cause lotsa creeps go to hit on the girls there.
Nobody has uploaded a single clear video on how to access photos from the Harajuku Purikura booths: you get ONE measly photo from a set that slides physically out of the booth. Just one image with maybe a teeny tiny blurred micro extra underneath as a tease. You go through the trouble of posing, having fun decorating the images and then...nothing. There are no English language options on the machine at the crucially important final phase and no English speaking staff who can explain how the QR code scanning deal works; apparently you have to scan the QR code on that single tiny sheet and get dragged into spending money on other monthly booth company subscriptions or provide more money or personal data to get your full set of photos. I find this totally ridiculous. You spend 500 yen a pop and get next to nothing for it. This ruins the fun for me. Why are these booths doing this?!
Omg gurl same! I went this past Nov 2023 to a purikura in Oita and I didn't even get a printout (also lost 500 yen)... I had the same situation with the QR code and I found that a person needs a Japanese phone and network to even access the photos. I also tried asking the guy if there was a refund possible but he kept saying muri muri muri so I got the message that it was not possible.. I would be wary of purikura machines as a foreigner without a good grasp of Japanese because there's nothing more disappointing than going through all those poses and trouble to look cute to find out you don't even get a printout of stickers. I think as things get more digital they may start to phase out the printouts altogether.
@@yaiochan YES!! Oh thanks so much for your reply comment. I found it fascinating and reassuring in a sad way to read that someone else out there is wondering what I am and has gone through similar frustrations. All these generic, uninspired RUclipsrs make videos about how to use Purikura booths but not a single one of them-- NOT ONE-- have ever explained to non-Japanese tourists how they're supposed to retrieve their pictures. Why is this, I wonder?! I also find it odd that the machines themselves have rough English translations step by step but suddenly revert to Japanese-text only at that critical end bit of the digital process (which is when we all need to be communicated to most clearly as it's the most critically important part!). What a disgraceful insult to foreigners. Call me cynical but it seems racist, like all they care about is collecting our money and ripping us all off by not communicating clearly entirely by design. I mean, why else would the manufacturers suddenly stop English text at the end of the whole procedure? Forgive me, but it's like they don't care about their foreign customers at all. It's disgusting, greedy, beyond lazy and seems totally engineered, rather than being a genuinely overlooked programming flaw. I'm not using them ever again. It's not fun for me at all anymore. PS= I have a small collection of abandoned photos which I've collected from machines on my holidays, just photos of happy Far East Asian tourists and Westerners who were so clearly baffled by the whole process that they must have given up trying to figure out where to get their crummy little photo from and just walked out in impatience and great disappointment (leaving behind what they paid for in the machine they couldn't figure out). These joyous looking little micro-portraits make me feel sad to look at. None of them were supposed to be abandoned or lost.
