I am planning between Bowers n Wilken 700 and this KEF LS60, can you give some suggestion in terms of sound quality for a large room which one will be a better option?

The KEF LS60's perform well in large rooms and have the advantage of having the amplifier's built-in to the speakers to save space and provide a clean install look. A pair of the Bowers & Wilkins 702 S3 in the first link below would also work well in a large room and requires an integrated amp to power them. The Rotel RAS-5000 in the second link below would be an excellent choice to pair with the Bowers & Wilkins speakers, and the 140-watts RMS per channel would provide fantastic performance for room-filling sound in larger spaces.

7 Grand and I have to “supplement” the bass with my own subwoofer. No thanks.

There are many speakers that “need” supplemented with a sub that are far above $7k lol. People prefer to pair subs with Wilson Audio WAMMs…

Hi, Any known issues with these LS50 built in amplifiers? What happens if there is a failure with these amplifiers? Does KEF cover these amplifiers with warranty and for how long? TIA

The LS50s have a top notch build quality and we don't see many issues with this speaker. They have a 2-year manufacturer warranty when purchased from an authorized dealer. Repair and replacement would be via KEF directly.

Uh, they're not just speakers. The complete package includes multiple amps and a DAC.

I noticed that you had the speakers very close to furniture. Was that a problem in any way?

The optimum distance between the speakers and the listener will depend on how far the Primary Speaker and the Secondary Speaker are separated. We recommend keeping the same distance of the speakers (at least 3.3' apart and within 26' apart) from one another. to the listener so it forms an equilateral triangle. The side and back panels of the speakers should have at least 3" clearance from other objects.

Are you using a pair of KEF's LS60 currently?

@@crutchfield yes, I have a plus plus a k62 subwoofer. The room they occupy is quite large. 20ft ceilings. 15x20 feet. Stone floor to ceiling fireplace at one end. I used the KEF speaker set up app on the iPad I manage my music on and set it at 50 cubic meters. Plus other tuning and they are wonderfully accurate with all genres of music.
