I think he should've retired, what's the likelihood that he stays wolverine for the next 10 years again or that we see him in any movies other the one movie he does. He's getting old and he already tried to stop being wolverine once. I'd say if they're making him a stead and reoccurring character it's better to give a new actor a chance to give the role new life in the MCU rather than use the aging older actor who while being the best version of wolverine to hit the live action screen. It's the same for Charles Xavier and Magneto. Especially since he's not getting younger and his character is functionally immortal barring intentional killing and is perpetually young due to his healing factor.

Colossus is my favorite mutant (first person to ever say that) and I really hope he's coming in the MCU soon.
