Fantastic colourisation. Black and white photographs are as good as colour ones, but colour ones are just as good as black and white ones....just depends on your mood when viewing. Great work.

These videos are a great way to bring history to people and kids of todays world, that never know this time period even existed. I do wish these could be a part of every schools curriculum.

The pictures and history are great. The frames are kind of distancing.

the number of people, especially women and children, who had no shoes is distressing.. makes me sadly wonder how many got tetanus and bad infections.. moving pictures indeed.
their dietary needs must of been lacking too. I noticed the big box of oatmeal and the pan of either biscuits or cornbread.. I imagine corn meal mush was a common staple. Quite a few women looked gaunt- they may have limited their portion to make sure their husbands and children got enough. thank you for showing us these pictures to remind us of hard times past that we might be moved to help the downtrodden of the present.

I thought the same thing. I have seen many photos of children and women with bandaged feet. Definite food for thought.

I find myself just staring at some of these people. Lost in those exact thoughts.
