- Triumph TR6 Restoration Part 15 Preparing And Painting The Engine Bay.
Here I degrease the engine bay in preparation for painting. Then go onto painting the block with heat-resistant paint - Авто/Мото
Johnny. The tr looks great now. I have owned mine for 43 years but you have done more to yours in a few months than I have with mine in 43 years. Keep it up! Mark
Thanks Mark.
I think if I had my own garage I'd be taking 43 years too. Being that I'm either in my sons or my brothers garage, I feel like Im being a burden.
Absolutely brilliant mate….what a transformation. I know you will be looking forward to all of the detail to come…as are we!
You and I both have an obsession with tiny details, but thats the bit I enjoy the most. You need to come down and spend the day with me 😄
Hello Johnny,
You must be very pleased with how the engine bay is looking… Using the seam sealer was a good call in my eyes. Take care. Looking good ! Great! This TR6 is going to awesome when done, Wow, it's really coming along nicely! Great job!
Thank you Artemus. This was the biggest transformation yet. I'm excited about finishing off the engine bay
Beautiful job mate, very well done! Artificially, you're nearly as goofy as me with respect to the sequence of steps followed! ;)
Hello Johnny,
You must be very pleased with how the engine bay is looking... Using the seam sealer was a good call in my eyes.
Take care.
Paul,,
Thanks Paul. I'm trying to keep it to specification but the joined panels without some sort of sealer was a flaw. or probably not invented yet.
Wow, it's really coming along nicely! Great job!
I'm chuffed with the result😄
Great! This TR6 is going to awesome when done
💪
Its going to be one of those cars that nobody wants to drive and get dirty hahah
Looking good !
Thanks Thomas
Looks very good and worth the effort to do. I did the difficult half of my engine bay paintwork last winter and will do the easier front half this winter. I had to remove a lot of parts to do this but am pleased with the result.
It was a job and a half but yes, definitely worth the effort.
Great progress….
Thanks George, I'm getting there
Looking really good. Same colour as mine just love Mimosa
Best colour!!!
I have been told not good practice to put new chain on old sprockets.
Worn teeth will wear the chain quickly.
Hi Steve, Ive not heard of that before but it does make perfect logical sense. Although, when I inspected the sprockets, they showed no signs of wear as I was prepared to change them both to begin with.
