These are not orderflow data, they are the sum of of the 1 Second volume data (tick volume ofc), it's pretty correlated only in high volume markets and moment, otherwise not very correlated
Here is my feedback Add ability to change text size Add an abilify to divide the numbers by a lot size Add ability to reduce the width of candle Add ability to adjust the decimal precision Add profile view Add the bar/time statistics table at the bottom (or make it a separate indicstor) that shows delta, delta % change, total volume, max delta, min delta
This is amazing! In 2024 TV is firing on all cylinders releasing feature updates after feature updates every other day. Only this time these updates are really long overdue. I hated paying for footprint and options charts on other dilapidated smaller platforms when TV has always been there as my weapon of choice. So glad that TV considered developing these new age charts to continue to be on the top of the game! Kudos to your team!!
I appreciate how I can organize symbols with color flags and switch between different watch lists effortlessly. It keeps my trading workflow smooth and organized.
I only recommend the footprint with the purchase of data sources, otherwise it is of no use. It's great that the footprint is now available here. Great job to the developers!
Hey mate could you give us more details about data sources where we can get that with footprint ? Without data source doesn’t work? If I connect my ibkr is that enough?
@@akilic958 Hey, I trade the gold future. Without the data set, the market is delayed by 10 minutes. So it makes no sense at all. To buy the right data source, you have to click on the yellow (D) next to the green dot (market open) in the chart. This will take you to the correct data source, which you can/must buy in order to get the real-time price and no longer have a delay of 10 minutes.
Big "Thank you" to the TradingView team. This is an awesome new tool. Very helpful as it really enrich my daily volume analysis. Really appreciate your work!!
@TradingView , Do the Buyer and Seller Data on Activity,....Loose Accuracy as We go Smaller in Timeframes ??? Example> 30 min TF is More Accurate/Reliable than 5 min & 1 min Timeframes ???
Great video brother ! I always wanted to start learning about the footprint chart . This is a great starting point especially now that is on trading view so i don't have to pay anything extra on another platform
This is what we love to hear and why we are always launching new tools for our members. Please stay tuned as we have more videos planned including real examples and upcoming updates.
*Alerts?* How would I get alerts for this when imbalance is triggered or for specific volume levels? Also, I'm not understanding the Imbalance trigger, as rarely if ever, one side is 300% more than the other, yet Imbalance alert is highlighted???
I have a question. Is the volume used in the footprint, as well as in the volume profile and the vwap, true trading volume? Do I have to sign up for a supply subscription? Or is it the usual tick volume?
This may not be the right place for this, but my feedback to TV would be to display the POC the same way you display VAL and VAL, with a little label and arrow off to the left of the footprint candle, rather then changing the color of the whole footprint bloc. Hope that makes sense. I am looking forward to trying this out.
We look forward to this kind of feedback! Please keep writing us. We'll take note of this and see what we can do. Also, be sure to subscribe as we have new videos daily and weekly.
What is going wrong when a default chart is saying "Histogram is too large, please increase Ticks Per Row in the settings window." It's on AUTO ATR of 14. It only occurs on the D or 24h timeframe for ticker NASDAQ:AMD. Other time frames such as 4h and Weekly work fine.
good video but it still lacks layout customizability of the layout. please allow us to add bid x ask and delta per tick. thanks. (also a footer table containing delta max min %)
how manual is calculated ... ? can you must give option to have time view or lets say divide option means example its 15 min candle n i want to know the data divided by 5 = 3 min each ... this give good weightage to time for calculation
The imbalance is calculated based on if it is "buy" volume or "sell" volume which is calculated on if the trade was transacted on its way down or up. The exact formula is in our Help Center. Thus, the imbalance is created based on the price movement of each trade within the time periods that you are analyzing.
Can you please add an option to add a new column next to the bid/ask footprint column. For example a new column to read either delta or total volume horizontally.
@TradingView Does the tool have a set look-back period limit? I don't see it in the settings, but notice when I zoom into lower timeframe (e.g. 5 mins) the time period the tool extends to is limited. Just want to check it's by design, not user error 🙂
Nothing will do that my friend. What you’re asking for is something to tell you the future. This is not that. What this does is helps you organize data to Understand the market behavior and market positioning. When knowing this info, you can come up with probabilities on if the market will go a certain direction on the next bar, but not ‘determine’ the direction. Good luck.
That's going to come down to your research, goals, and strategy. However, can make a video with examples and use cases to give you some ideas. Stay tuned, we'll post it at some point.
Be sure to watch the video as it shows you how to access this specific tool. Also, our RUclips channel has many other walkthroughs and tutorials for you.
@TradingView Is it possible to display the volume statistics not below the candles, but at the bottom of the chart so that you can see everything at a glance? I have not found an indicator for this either. I hope you or someone else can help me.
We already offer both data sources! Please check out our latest video about getting additional data on TradingView or our data page www.tradingview.com/data-coverage/
@@TradingView Please let me know which data package I need for correct CME volumes and delta data. I have the CME Globex package, but the footprint and delta data don't match the correct CME data from my volume software. As long as the volume data on TV is not right, a switch makes no sense to me.
Unfortunately not. That's why the chart is not usable for me at the moment, as the data does not correspond to the correct stock market data for BID and ASK. I have extreme discrepancies between TradingView and my volume software (with direct CME connection).
@@TradingView Yes, the idea is to create an indicator that can be added to the chart when in footprint chart mode, in order to show divergence between the price movement and the DELTA. For example, price rising while DELTA is falling. This is an important divergence. The indicator could display the DELTA on the screen during price movements when divergences occur, making it possible to measure the strength of the divergence in terms of price and time.
