Both Damian and Mac are good in their own ways. For me, Mac is the powerful emotion, while Damian is the sweet melody. Damian even posted about Mac that they have never met while he was alive, but his voice is so great and he was a great person. Please, do not start dramas here about different singers and bands. Let' s not be so low as most fans of a certain female-fronted band (NW) who are always whining about line-up changes/who is better. Line-up changes are okay, and happens/happened in many bands due to different reasons, and most members of the fanbase of lots of metal bands are okay with that. Even the bands are handling them well, without drama ;) Kamelot, Visions OF Atlantis, Arch Enemy, Draconian and many other bands and most of their fanbase handled line-up changes well. And despite your opinions, both the band and most fans like both Mac and Damian, sorry.
Truly Mcdermott Andrew's death is a major loss for the progressive heavy metal. If he had even entered the Dream Theater in 2001, all recognize its importance.
Verdadeiramente a morte de Andrew Mcdermott é uma das maiores perdas do heavy metal progressivo. Se ele tivesse mesmo entrado no Dream Theater em 2001, todos reconheceriam a sua importância.
The guitars and vocals sound overdubbed in post-production. Why would they do this? Usually this is done by amateur bands to cover up mistakes they made while playing.
@dje2671 I respect everyone's opinion when it comes to music. That said, I find Tate's voice anoying and exagerated but you can disagree. I'm sure that if you listen to Threshold's discography (specialy with Mac) you'll find that they are A LOT more that you hear on this song. As a matter of fact this song if from the first album with him and definatly not one of my favorites. Don't know how my age should affect what I listen to...if what you say it's true, The Beatles should be unknown by now.
@dje2671 I completely agree, The intro of this song is a complete ripoff of that song but on the other side it has nothing to do with Threshold's style. "Subsurface" and "Dead Reckoning" are two great albums that (in my opinion) shows the band at their fullest. Great melodies, massive choral arrangements and gallons of creativity. I'm sure that if we listen to the first records of any band there will be small ripoffs, It's just a matter of finding 'em.
RIP Mac. A truly great original voice; irreplaceable.
The BEST Singer of Threshold
R.I.P. But the new old one is also very good.
Yes. Is my fav..

R.I.P. Mac
What a really great quality of the sound in this amazing concert! One of the best I ever heard.
RIP, Mac!
Amazing singer... Best vocal modulation...the Best
No other singer will ever do this band justice the way Mac did. Such a huge loss!
Sound is absolute brilliant!
I love this vocal.. R. I. P. Andrew..
The intro remembered so much to me the Queensryche
Awesome!

Mac tinha uma voz muito foda !

@mihaivpopa Damian doesn't suck..lol, he was the first and best one :D
Es igual a Queensryche la intro!!, pero me gusta la banda
riposa in pace man....
To be honest, I totally agree with the intro being a ripp-off from Queenrÿche.
Damian's good....but a completely different style..Mac was unique.
2020

indeed, but I like anyway
@dje2671 to ask for some advice...
lyrics are from Innocent, not The Latent Gene!

Doesn't Karl Groom look a little like David Gilmour? And I wonder if he was ever an influence on Groom with that tasty solo he pulled off!
