Single-pot motor with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) improves the power curve throughout the rev range of the new R15. There has been a 0.2 PS decrease in peak power output to 18.4 PS, but a 0.1 Nm increase in maximum torque to 14.2. A quickshifter is available on the 6-speed automatic transmission.
Powered by the same 199.5cc single-cylinder motor as before, the new KTM RC200 churns out 25.8 horsepower and 19.5 nm of torque. There are no slipper/assist clutches here, therefore the 6-speed gearbox remains unmodified.
The RC200 is substantially more powerful than the R15 because of its bigger displacement. Although the Yamaha’s power has been reduced slightly, its performance is still excellent, especially when compared to the v3.0’s.
Front forks on the new Yamaha R15 now use USD, but the rear suspension remains a mono-shock. As before, the brand’s Deltabox frame serves as the foundation for this bike. Updates to the LCD instrument cluster now include Y-Connect linked technology (which provides phone alerts, SMS/email notifications, ride statistics, and the most recent parking location, for example).
Dual-channel ABS protects the brakes, which have a total diameter of 282 millimeters upfront and 220 millimeters behind. Other options include a traction control system and riding modes.
The new KTM RC 200 2022 shares the 200 Duke’s split-trellis frame. The front suspension consists of USD forks, while the rear suspension comprises of a mono-shock. At the front, there is a 320mm disc with ABS, and at the back, there is a 230mm disc with ABS.
An LCD instrument cluster from the 250 Adventure has been installed on the RC, making it larger than the old RC’s. Although it doesn’t come with a Bluetooth option. Riding modes and traction control are also missing, but these features aren’t really necessary on a motorcycle of this size.
Yamaha R15 V4 price in Chennai is Rs 180439 (ex-showroom price) whereas the KTM RC 200 price in Chennai is Rs 208845 (ex-showroom). The engine in the R15 V4 makes 18.4 PS and 14.2 Nm . On the other hand, the power and torque of RC 200 stand at 25.8 PS and 19.5 Nm respectively. Yamaha offers the R15 V4 in 6 colours whereas the KTM RC 200 comes in 2 colours.

Bruh video fullAhh pathea actually I'm owning an R15M (2.15L on road)* it's been 8th month i just covered somewhere around 4000+kms... I think I can genuinely tell that the R15 is best motorcycle in this league at least for me... Just not because it's 30k lesser than RC it provides many first in segment features and that's actually useful!...
Pros.
1. This bike won't rush you to maintain high speed until you maintain 4k- 6.5k RPM.
2. So it's provides somewhere around millage of 45-48 if you maintain 6.5k> RPM 70-80kmph.
3. Quick shifter is one of the main reason I choosen M varient... And, it's just never disappointed me... Use the QS above 4k RPM gears will shifts like an butter just more than a butter🌝🌝.
4. Rider Seat are comfortable compared to competitors. Pillion seat is ok for 10km> city rides if you have will power to travel more than its your butt i can't help.
5. Headlamp visibility is not an very major concern ask your technician while you giving for periodic service... Make sure that you taking the delivery of your bike at evening, so you can adjust low and high beem as per your wants.
Cons.
1. The quality issues where actually an main concern... Chassis & disk plates will get rusting if you don't dry it properly when you ride it in rain.
2. Cleaning on you own is the another level of stressful job. This machine don't like a drop of water the tyres will just splash on the whole buttom parts under the pillion seats and shocks. It's the messiest portion when you take your bike at the rainy season. So, be prepared with the tools...
3. Riding position is more commited... For beginners it may feel back pain, wrist & neck pain... If your High higher than 5.5ft then you're kness of your both legs will pain... The owners will live with it😢.
4. Spare parts costs bit higher side "stonks📈"...
5. The pillion seat faring is just an joke... Very complicated to move the bike if it's standing at the tight spots.
6. Front focks travel are very high in harsh braking condition... Anyhow Oil seal caps won't break so easily.
7. Traction control also an joke... Mostly ABS will save you in every situations... It's just an added feature...

Maintenance costs around 2k for first few service with free labour after that around 3 approx with labour. My bill for regular service at 12k kms was 3000 rupees. Maintenance similar to other fared bikes bro i.e. it will be difficult to clean the engine bay. Top speed therinju enna bro use? Drag race? Anyways it can touch 125kmph without any struggle after that it will reach its 140-145 kmph top speed in 3-4 business days. Vibration are very minimal for a single cylinder bike but it's there none the less.
