Nice vid ! Bill is such a fun guy, had a chance to talk to him last November at the Performance Center.. He's got that perfect blend story telling with an enthusiasm that he always displays! Love to to a review with him ,it would be so much fun!
He is awesome! I gotta say: he makes our videos look better, without even driving the car hard. He's just fun to talk to, has great stories and best part: he's always gracious. Next step is to get him to sing.
I love my e46 m3, it's a really good car. It was the car that got me into bmw's and into cars in general. I've gotta say though, I think it's a slightly overrated car. The steering is great, handling is great, it's fast, sounds awesome but I just think it's a car you get bored of quick. If you have a collection of 10 or more cars I think it's definitely one you need to have but if it's your only weekend car you'll definitely get bored of it. I genuinely feel bad saying that because I think it's one of the coolest cars of its time. Either way, still a great car.
Thank you for the video! This brought back a lot of memories for me. I had a 2004 (E46) M3csl with SMG2 in Silver Grey Metallic with a Black leather interior. It had a 45mm front disk and the rear had a larger diameter piston.
@@bmwblog I would still prefer a manual, but the SMG is extremely engaging and predictable. Sure, it doesn't shift instantly like modern double clutch boxes, but it is super rewarding when you get in tune with it. I would own one again.
Haha Bill said "This poor car is never gonna to be the same" not "Sportscar"... followed by him pretending not to know how to use a clutch, he was implying he was going to destroy the thing
@@bmwblog yes sir! I have a beautiful 2003 BMW M3 Convertible with OEM hardtop. Recently I’ve been showing it on my channel as I’ve been doing some DIYs on it. Great cars and very fun to drive!
I still remember my dad’s from when these were new. This was the car that got me into cars.
Nice! Def an M3 to remember
loving these reviews with Bill. He is so incredibly relatable, bright, and humble. A legend of ///M and top class for the brand.
Couldn't agree more! We will do additional ones in the future.
For me the E46 followed closely by the E92 are BMW’s best looking M3’s. Peak BMW design
I totally agree!

I think for most people, it's the perfect first BMW

How did you like the SMG2?

Gorgeous e46 M3! Love the M3 content, but I am partial =)

Imma get a e46 hopefully in like 2 or 3 months from now my dream car imma never sell it
You should never sell it
@@bmwblog Never! I;'ve had my 2004 since 2006. My son gets it when I pass. It's had a bumper to bumper restoration which was completed a year ago
E46 & F87 the best (looking😛)!
Yes. Can't argue against that
M2C in Sunset Orange... imo
Yes, not bad
What is the heads up display in it.
i love my e46 m3 wagon
Such a cool one
Great video and awesome review! Can’t agree more, this is by far my favorite M3! BTW am I hired yet? 🤣
Thanks, buddy
That car is perfection
25:43 155mph is electronically limited BUT only on 6th gear.
Interesting. I did not know
Omg I love your review
Glad you enjoyed it
Great review!
Glad you enjoyed it
What do you mean future classic? It’s already a classic
With the limiter removed you can reach 174 mph flat out. Not bad for a car produced from 2001.
That's wild!
Of course…
Wait? Is that why the Corvette kicked BMW’s ass too in GT2 even after BMW tried to cheat? Lmao
Hey clown, according to Corvette Forum, the M4 beat the C8. Facts don’t care about your feelings boomer.
