- Opening 2021 with a quick tour of my messy sewing space! It has come a long way, yet I have so far to go with organizing my notions and fabrics. If you also have a disorganized space that needs help this year or your sewing space is also your work-from-home area -- cheers to you! And as always, thank you for watching! ^_^

Happy New Year to you too and good to see you again. My whole home is in a mess but I am trying to organise it, starting from 2 January, by doing a little each day and having a plan as to what I will do each day, doing that first thing and not allowing myself to do anything else until the task is completed. Then I can do more more pleasurable things, such as sewing, or, unfortunately, less exciting but necessary things like laundry, shopping for food ( here in the area of the UK in which I live only shops selling essential items are open) and scrubbing the kitchen floor. Not sure how many days I can manage to put organising before sewing. Virtuously I put organising my fabric and pattern stash for about 2 weeks time instead of giving it priority because I just knew that, once I started, I would come across some fabric or pattern that would impel me to start sewing straight away.
Thanks Barbara and so great to hear from you! I admire that you actually have a plan in place. That in itself puts you ahead of most of us, haha.
Welcome back! And I AM organized and I still have a hot mess in that sewing room - don't look - 👀- it's creativity in action - 😉😂
JEN!!! You've been missed! And I appreciate the support - it's definitely creativity in action, lol ;)
That jacket is gorgeous!!!
Thank you!! ^_^
Welcome back!!! I love that jacket.
Thank you Errica!!!! :D
Hey! Welcome back and Happy New Year!
Awww HEY guh!!! Happy New Year to you too!! xoxo
Do you still love your juki machine better than the brother machine? I’m just getting back into sewing and trying to buy a new sewing machine mainly for baby blankets! Thank you
YES. It is truly a dream for quilting in comparison!!
I just subscribed. Saw your video in the reviews on Amazon. I would love to have sewing chats if possible. Been debating on what machine to buy
Hey Max! Do you already have an idea of what you will be using your machine for mostly? Are you just getting started and need just a great every day or every-now-and-then machine for light mending? Do you need something that can handle heavier materials for bag-making or will you be mostly quilting? Will you be doing embroidery? So many questions, lol.
@@diyraven I currently have a vintage Fleetwood zigzag machine. I also have a brother serger. I will mostly be using this machine for underwear, tank tops and tshirts. Make myself some pants and Jean's now and than but mostly will be used for lightweight jersey knit spandex fabrics.
@@maxblackso488 Awesome, sounds like you have most of your needs covered already. The Fleetwood should be great for heavy denims for jeans, and the serger is obviously a winner for your knits. I would suggest the same sewing machine that I'm planning to purchase for myself to completely replace the CS Brother6000i that I had reviewed (which still works, btw) - the JUKI HZL LB5020. But it will be able to do all of the items you mention including the addition of buttonholes you'll need for pants, tops, etc. The only difference between the LB5020 and LB5100 is the first has 20 stitches and the other has 100 included stitches (they are $50 difference in price from what I've researched). I would take a look at The Crafty Gemini's review of this machine, I think it gives you a really great walkthrough so you can see if this machine really fits your needs! ruclips.net/video/Yw0se1o_C84/видео.html
