BF is forcing Mario and Peach to become FNF for his own personalization. Not having being satisfied with rapping against the characters in his world he takes people from other universes and dimensions to by their will and "asks" them to compete with them in a friendly song battle. Allowing the process of taking over their world and personalizing thier world to fit his needs. He never had GF to begin with. Just makes any female believe that he is their BF by mixing their memories to suit his needs. Hence why Peach turned into GF. After the transformation is complete its just another world for BF to use and manipulate. Just another "mod" to have any kind of fun in any way he chooses. Mario was aware of the danger. But in the end.. all he can remember is asking BF to compete with him to rap battle. Or is that the full story?

I love that interpretation, especially because Mario takes on a skin from the Siivagunner mod that came out a while ago. It's like BF changes everything to suit him, since Mario ends up looking aggressive and he looks like his usual self. He manipulates the world to where he's just a normal guy getting caught up in rap battles, and we fall for it. This is an interesting way to make an AU for FNF
