- The Manhunt International 1997 was held in Singapore with 38 countries participating. It was an exciting event with lots of drama and colors. The World Final was held on the 23rd May 1997. The winner was Jason Erceg from New Zealand while the first runner up was Sandro Finnochio from Venezuela who later became Mr. World in 1998. The event was televised on the 24th May 1997 to more than 50 countries to 500 million viewers worldwide.
What a perfect line up of Top 10..the best Manhunt Int'l of decades! ❤ The evening suits, the set, music..remarkable ,artistic presentation/ production for such male pageantry!

Not really no...When judging the Q&A we have to look at the substance of the answer, the delivery, charisma, emotions, etc. and New Zealand was definitely the best.

Honestly, there was not any top 10 in any male beauty pageant which are as strong as the top 10 guys in Manhunt International 1997. Any of the top 5 could be the winner in any other year of Manhunt International or any other male beauty pageant. Personally speaking, NZ is also my favourite. Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Turkey and Cyprus are all charismatic.
