What do all of you think about RUclips Live streaming? What's the future of live streaming to you?

    Great analysis, Zach!
I prefer Twitch for many reasons, the main points, in my opinion, are the fact that interaction with chat is much more fluid on Twitch and there are more options for that. Also, since RUclips is basically a video platform any time you watch content on RUclips, there's always recommendations for other content on the same window, and that can lead a viewer to just click on any of those thumbnails and leave the stream. Also the way that Twitch deals with monetization seems far more fair to me. The "we'll monetize from channels that can't be monetized" philosophy from RUclips made me really - laughs - really mad at them. I have videos which are monetized and I don't get a penny from them.
RUclips viewers are different from Twitch viewers and in my opinion YT hasn't grasped the difference yet.
By the way, you will shine, man!
    Very good content and quality!!!

Mister Vloop, you bring up some great points here. Especially the chat interaction, the way that RUclips has 2 ways to sort your chat is really annoying. the default is "top chat" so some random things can be considered spam, and you will just never see it. That doesn't help with chatter interaction AT ALL!
Another issue to me is the lack of API integration that Twitch has for services like MixItUp and TouchPortal (to name a few). You can't automate anything from RUclips yet for cool command actions or channel point like redemptions. Thankfully lots of teams are working on that problem but YT API is just a mess compared to Twitch for that integration style.
Each service has a huge list of Pros and Cons for sure but we'll see how things pan out in the very near future especially with the changes that each platform are going to put in this summer so good timing on this haha
I appreciate the compliments bud and I hope you have an absolutely amazing day! :D

I like quality on RUclips much more than on Twitch because twitch limits it a lot. I remember streaming Overwatch and Rocket League and quality was so-so, however, my hardware, internet and settings were bad ass

I think the ability to have these higher quality streams and then VODs really set it apart from Twitch. It's nice to be able to push out a lot of quality while being able to retain viewers as they can lower the quality if need be. It's the best of both worlds! :D
