It’s not insecure to not accepting a lecture from someone not ingrained in a culture. Adams hasn’t achieved anything that the jets players haven’t. He’s been on the raiders dude. Nicks right about this, it’s not a sin to say he’s right. If you want proof of this, go tell some married friends of yours how they can improve their marriage (if you’re a newlywed) and when the tell you that you don’t know what you’re talking about, tell them they’re insecure.

      Uhh
      He’s 3× First-team All-Pro
      6× Pro Bowler
      2× NFL receiving touchdowns leader
And will have over 100 TDs in his career.
He’s a first ballot hall of famer. That’s what he’s accomplished. Please name the jets who have that. 😂
And Greg, you know, who actually played said he was happy Davante stepped up and didn’t wait to talk. Think he knows more than Nick here🤷‍♂️

@@JWLSports they are individual stats my man, if he went to the wide outs and talked with them about getting open, I’m totally with him. That’s not the same thing. Also, I get the feeling that you feel a little like a kindred spirit with Greg because you played “semi pro” something somewhere at some point I guess, no one cares. It’s just like someone talking about winning state when they were in high school, it’s not relevant (just a heads up because it’s easy to miss).

I think that your take on Davonte speeches vs immaturity makes sense.. but when you pair the speech with the whole team liking Sallah and side-eyeing Aaron, I totally get it lol

Even Devante knew it might not land well. Devante just got there and he has no idea why there is no energy. Especially if the reason for low energy might be Devantes best buddy.

Ego and professional athletes go hand in hand. Especially when they are in their early to mid twenties. I agree with Nick, it’s good that he spoke up but I don’t know how effective it’s going to be

    • @JWLSports

Nick says he shouldn’t have spoken up. Greg said it was good and it was important.

I’ve seen that people think coach Salah was fired for wearing the Lebanese flag during the post game press conference.
Also I think Nick might talking players could be frustrated because Adams hasn’t had to deal with the jets organization. So, players know Adams is a future hall of fame player, but he hasn’t had to deal with this terrible NFL team. And players could still be upset that Salah wasn’t allowed to address the team before being leaving the Jets.

Aaron Rodgers, " it was the realest speech I've heard in 20 years" Other than every speech I have ever made in my entire life!!! I think Ulbrich should take a hard look at the speech, and then after the hard look, let the team know it starts with me, and then take a hard look at the accountability!!!

Thats true bro. Where was his leadership at LV. Didnt he badmouth the coach on his way out? He can ball, but hes also Rodgers best bud. We'll see how this goes. Wanna see the same energy when Rodgers need a talking too!!!

I agree with nick on the jets don’t feel like a team take. It just seems like so much dysfunction on that team. If a new guy who’s been there 5 days has to give a speech should tell you exactly where you are as a team

Nick is SPOT ON, and that's just a fraction of the problem... First off it shouldn't be DeVonte's place to give this speech, it comes down to ARod. Secondly if not ARod then it should have been the new Interim Coach whose SOLE PURPOSE is to install a CHANGE in the culture and prove he has what it takes to hold onto the role. The fact is the Jets are a dumpster🔥 and a speech from someone who just walked thru the door while justified ain't gonna change that as long as certain people are in that Locker Room 🤔
