    I don't think image matters much at 1/2 or 1/3, because people just don't pay attention at low stakes.

      Especially in card rooms that don't feature lots of OMCs, unlike Reno and Vegas where lots of retired old guys make real money playing low stakes.

      I don’t think they’re paying a bunch of attention but I do think they are aware enough to notice someone who keeps on stacking off and rebuying 😂

      @Pokerbabbo na ur overestimating low stakes players u got a few people. The old guy who never ever bluffs and always bets really small if he has the nuts he's slow playing and jamming the river, the drunk guy who is a call station and is all in preflop on any decent hand, the poker pro who thinks they are the best player at the table but if they lose to a bad runout they never stop whining. Nobody really pays attention at all most the time you can get tables to fold just by being aggressive a lot of people are playing with scared money and purely gambling or playing so tight that they are only ever playing top of their range it's so hard to actually find a good low limit table.

    I notice your raise sizes are pretty big for 1-3. What's your thinking behind that? I would think that you'd be filtering out the weaker hands and keeping in the stronger ones. I think $12 is actually a perfect opening size but when you raise to 35 or 40 over a few limpers that's where I question it. Also with the shallow stacks at 1-3 you're gonna lack a lot of fold equity against short stacks when they do call.

    • @chadpflanz8745
      @chadpflanz8745 3 дня назад

      He does that to knock out the limp callers. I seen some tables that even after a limp you raise it 12 and then half the table calls and says we'll they get odds now to call. If you raise higher but not saying as high as he did. You will get the small hands out like connectors or weak suited ace rag hands etc. Someone calling narrows their range.

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  13 часов назад +1

      Yeah I add $5 per limper. I think it’s needed since they will just be calling all the time if not. I prefer to just take it down preflop or build a bigger pot not very multi way. It they’re short stack I’ll probably just lean towards value when betting. Even when I raise 30-40 when they’re have 300 there’s still plenty of money behind to play

  • @TheNow_Now
    @TheNow_Now 6 дней назад +2

    Nice comeback. I think the A5cc is better as a check back on the river. You beat all missed flush draws, and I don't think low stakes players are folding boats (even bad ones) for pot sizes bets.
    On another note, you should host a meetup game on coinpoker sometime, like 25NL or like 10NL PLO 5 lol.

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  5 дней назад +1

      I still think I’m always jamming there if I put them on pocket pairs since I’d usually expect folds, this guy was just special 😂😂

    No hate, just curious, when you win the blinds and everyone folds, do you tip? What’s your standard tipping process?
    I know you’re a full time player, so I get that you need all the $$$ that you can save.
    I assume you do tip, but curious when and how much. Thanks!

    • @joe_g_fw
      @joe_g_fw 5 дней назад +1

      As a former dealer and current for-profit player who is very aware of how over-tipping can literally turn a winning year into a losing year, no, when winning tiny pots, the dealer doesn't expect a tip, as long as you're not tanking and taking up a chunk of their time.
      Raise and take the blinds and still tip? I would smile and thank you, but would be thinking "what a fish" lol

    • @Some_guy_with_a_beard
      @Some_guy_with_a_beard 5 дней назад

      For a 1/2 or 1/3 game, I usually follow this structure:
      Win preflop or on flop - no tip
      1 street of value - $1 tip
      2 streets of value - $2 tip
      3 streets of value - $3 tip
      Stack another player - $5 tip
      I think that's pretty fair for these stakes

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  5 дней назад +1

      I don’t tip preflop as a general rule but there can be expectations once in a while if I win a lot preflop by squeezing or ripping it over a lot of other action. For the most part I’ll just tip $1 unless the pot is a decent size than I’ll give a dollar or $2 more. I usually don’t tip over 4

    • @Zak-jt6nk
      @Zak-jt6nk 5 дней назад

      Honestly best way to tip no tip unless there's a flop if you win a pot tip 1BB if you win a big pot (at least 50 bb) tip 2BB dealers will never complain or hate on you. If a dealer is particularly nice to me I'll usually tip them as they are going to break even though I know they don't control the cards just feel like it's a good gesture since you are up piles with them and they are only really getting tips from you since other players are losing in this situation.

    • @kaysuhdila4725
      @kaysuhdila4725 5 дней назад +1

      @@Zak-jt6nk I think playing 2/5, there is no need to tip 5$ per pot you win lmao. That is just hemorrhaging money at that point.

    Tough start to the sesh. A4dd i think the better logic is to attack a weaker range on the turn when you have a sfd. Trying to double checkraise in the spot is both fancy play syndrome and trying to go for the part of the game tree where your opponent has a stronger range and you wanting to put more $ vs that range. Doesnt make sense.
    A5cc is a check on the river unfortunately. Not only does Jx boats overcall a high % of time but as you saw underpairs also increase their willingness to call down on these boards. Comes down to population tendencies.

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  5 дней назад

      First board it’s a strategy that I’ve learned from a bootcamp that usually works pretty well. Second one I just really out him on a pocket pair with his raise size and I expect this bluff to get through most of the time knowing how population usually plays at my casino

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  14 часов назад +1

      Nah man if you want to play seriously you don’t think about that stuff. You just play the hours you have in mind or more if the game is good. Only reason to cut the session short is if you think you’re not playing good.
