It could be a symbolism thing because no one else besides Azula has eyes throughout the entire animatic (even though they do have teardrops) and even then Azula doesn’t always have eyes. (Either that or the creator gave up on drawing symmetrical eyes for this entire animatic which is a mood) Plus there are parts where her eyes are scratched out or completely black. I think it might symbolize her self-image and her dissociation from everyone, else this is all just speculation tho. (For example, no eyes means that she’s trying to not think of that person or she’s trying to treat them as a stepping stone. The eyes mean they exist and are seen and important (which is why Azulas eyes are the only ones drawn since she is the only one she can count on and listen to), the black eyes probably mean that she sees herself as corrupt or in her mothers terms a “monster” and the last one my personal favorite (for speculation and theories) the scratched out eyes. Because the eyes that were scratched out was an old picture or image of Azula I’m guessing it represents a loss of innocence, a loss of the person who used to exist and the happiness and innocence only a child can have. It’s a mourning and yet celebration from everything she has lost from her childhood and everything she thought she gained from it. (Shes celebrating because she’s not “weak” and naive anymore, she’s celebrating because she was raised to be a “perfect” ruler in Ozais eyes and her childhood gave her the tactics she needs to do that. But she’s also mourning the loss of who she used to be, of what she used to be all while hating it at the same time)
This was amazing.I loved this it really showed how azula felt she is powerful,but she also feels so much pain from her mother not giving her that much love too Ty lee and Mia’s betrayal . This is why she’s my favorite character
Whoa... I had no idea you could do this! You should try out animating on Scratch, you can make and share animations there too :) Also, I don't watch Avatar but this kinda reminds me of Mulan a little.
I love to see every animatic of this song there are all different cool and have a style that are really special The work you done is amazing I love it 🥰
The ironic thing about me relating to Azula? My eldest sister is my half sister, and the child favoured by our mother is the 2nd born child of my father's lineage.
Thank you for pointing it out! Yeah, the art is traced, nor did I say it wasn't. Proper credits have been given in the description. This was just a practice animatic for me, since I'm new to digital art and I do hope to get better at it as time goes on. That's why only a few shots were original artwork. In the end, the focus of this project for me wasn’t for the art but for the story it shows along with the song and the story composition for this work. Thanks for checking the video out!
This is amazing! Wonderful job :^)
Wait a minute... didn’t you like do something for the song “ursa lullaby”?
@Wait What
She made it! She also made this song!
@@-raecat- omg really?

Brothers and Sisters: I give you underrated beauty
"Even my mother though me evil, so evil I'll be"
Damn, that part hit me in the feels...
Someone please save her.
Beautiful! I thought the lack of eyes would bother me but you manage to get their expressions across well without them 👍🏾

Good job on this!
For a first animatic this is absolutely stunning!!
I'm happy that I ain't the second born now, cuz then I'd be a psychopath like Azula.
Actaully he does look better in a suit
Wow
THE TALENT
100th sub :D
Okay, but she would have won if she got Ty Lee and Mai by her side.
She probably would have if she didn't try to kill Zuko when Mai was around

@reinaeiry
Where do I find the lyrics to this?
Wait is zuko the younger one? Why didnt i know that?
Either this animatics amazing. Great expression
The "Second born" line is referring to Azula. Eriy's comment on her video explains it better
did you trace-
cuz all frames are sceens that alreadt exist ;-;
read the description
I'm sorry the hands
This is traced

Since there’s no eyes drawn the scar on zuko looks really weird also when azula’s eye brows move it also looks weird
You were supposed to upload at noon smh
