It’s the middle of pandemic and this is how bored I am.
Lmao I don’t even know how I got here
How donI tell u that that wasn't the middle of the pandemic
Nicely done! Thanks for the tips!
Thank you! Got one similar, Everbilt from the Home Depot with no clear instructions. Your video saved me.
me too! The Everbilt one just said " disassemble and install" like, okay thanks for that lmao!!
Me, too! I wouldn't have known!
Liked the video but would have titled it as "Adjustable clothes rod installation" instead.
Thank you
Thanks for watching.
A question please: why do some videos use support brackets for the shelf and others like yours don’t? I put 2 brackets in the middle for the shelf but if I don’t need it I’ll remove them. I’m only going to hang clothes and the shelf will be more folded clothes
My closet rod kit didn't have a support bracket included. If you've already added support brackets in the middle I would leave them in place.
Thanks for sharing this video. Is the brand of the closet rod you installed an "Everbilt"? I purchased mine from Home Depot, also, and it came with the plastic support brackets, that you showed, plus two others that are sort of a cradle support. Should both support brackets be used?
Thanks, I was killing myself trying to screw the screw directly into the circle. Drilling a little hole, how did i not think of that lol
I see you commented the below and I have a question.
"The wood trim boards in this video were anchored into wall studs so the support brackets for the clothes rod didn't need to anchor into a wall stud. If you don't have these trim boards I would try to find a wall stud to anchor the support brackets on each end. If you're talking about the center of the clothes rod for a support bracket, the length of the clothes rod was under 4' so I didn't put support bracket in the center and the clothes rod works fine. Wider lengths it might be a good idea to have a center support"
My question: Oh my closet looks exactly like this.. I have that wood trim board that supports the clothing rod. I want it raised higher (get rid of the shelf over it and raise the rod) Do I need another wood trim board support up higher in order to do this? (I don't know if I'm asking the question properly)
I would either install another trim board or mount the brackets into a wall stud if you can find one that's in the proper location. The clothes rod has to support quite a bit of weight so I don't think using wall anchors would work.
How do you replace a broken socket as rod will not fit back unless place in new socket first, but then how to screw the new socket into the wall since the rod in the way? Thanks!
The clothes rod telescopes so you would need to replace rod mount first, then telescope rod onto mount and install anchor screw that secures clothes rod to mount.
@@Iscaper Not very handy when comes to home repair. Now, If I could find a rod that expands that could then be stretched to the width of the current rod, that would be great. I know make rods that expand with suction ends. If could find one with normal rod ends to inset into plastic holders that sounds like would work. But are rods available that can expand in length? Thanks!
Thanks so much for this video! I wouldn't have been able to figure it out for myself 😂
I’m glad to find this video. I had no clue those were the brackets on the ends. I bought new metal brackets. My son has a lot of clothes that made his wood pole buckle. I have the brushed nickel rods. Will the brackets that were included be strong enough?
Might need a center support bracket if the rod is bowing.
What else to do with Philips screw driver lol
TKS. I. HAVE. THE. SAME. CLOSET.
Thanks for watching.
thank you soooo much!! this is EXACTLY what i am working on right now. you saved me a trip back to home dept haha
Thanks Rosanna, I'm glad the video helped.
I was watching this because my clothing rod came out of place and turns out that some part was missing ( 2:18 that part)
Where do you buy this rod at?
Thank you so much, that's was very helpful.
Thanks for watching.
You are very welcome
You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find something like this in the UK. I've been searching forever...
We're From Poland / Polska. Same problem. Sometimes family lives Far from Store. Or inventory No Good. We made Closet Rod out of Different items. We used Bicycle J-hooks, found the 2x4 in the Closet Ceiling at 24inch apart on center pre drilled small hole and screwed in 4 Bike J-hooks. Then We Used a Sturdy Metal Curtain Rod. Now We have 2 closet Rods. Top rod at about 80 to 82 inches from Floor and the second rod traditionally mounted from wall to wall About 40 Inches above Floor.
oh surprised you didnt use wall plugs, that would have proteceted the holes in the walls and they wouldnt expand or strain later on
Thank you for being clear and straight to the point!
Thanks for watching!
What if I want one some where there isn’t already the wide molded onto the wall? I’m adding a second one in my closet and there’s no wood how do I go about mounting it onto the wall. Do I just mount the wood with dry wall anchors?
I would try and find wall studs to support the rod.
Billy Bob Thornton installs clothes rods during quarantine.
You don't need a middle Support?
Thanks man you rock ! Juan from so cal
Well I used one of those tensioning shower curtain rods and guess what happened when the neighbor upstairs got on her building shaking treadmill...
What happened?
@@Iscaper A clothing avalanche.
Love it very simple and straight to the points
Help! I tried this but the screws wont stay my closet is drywall
The boards that the clothes rod is attached to needs to be attached to wall studs.
Thank you very much, I have just put up my first clothing rod using your simple and easy instructions, I brought the blue hawk rods from Lowe's and they worked just as well as the ones from home depot.
Very good thank you very much ! : ) ; )
Thank you for this helpful video!
Any body during lockdown

What about the trim rings?
Thank you for showing this video. It's been awhile since hanging one. Simple directions!
You are the only video that helped me understand. I felt like my mind was leaving I was so mad before I found this simple video . Lifesaver!
Glad it helped!
How do you stop the adjustable rod from sliding?
Starting at 2:25 in the video I put screws in the bottom of the rod at each end. This will keep the rod from sliding.
I had never done anything like that before. Followed your video, my husband passed me the drill and I did it! Thanks!
Thanks Eu for watching, I'm glad the video was helpful.
Very helpful - thanks.
Thanks! Quick, simple and helpful!!
Thanks
Thank you. The best explanation
Thanks!
Thanks a million....this was so simple!!!
Hi,
I bought this exact same clothing rod from HomeDepot too. Do you know if this clothing rod needs the support of a rod closet bracket?
The wood trim boards in this video were anchored into wall studs so the support brackets for the clothes rod didn't need to anchor into a wall stud. If you don't have these trim boards I would try to find a wall stud to anchor the support brackets on each end. If you're talking about the center of the clothes rod for a support bracket, the length of the clothes rod was under 4' so I didn't put support bracket in the center and the clothes rod works fine. Wider lengths it might be a good idea to have a center support.
Hi can anyone confirm the brand. Is it the Everbilt adjustable rod 30 by 48?
Thank you!
Welcome!
This was great, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!!!
Welcome!
Thank you for the info! :)
Thank you for this!
Very helpful 👍
Found this rod at home depot. Works like a charm
I felt a little silly for watching the video as the process is so simple. BUT I'm glad it exists because now I'm not daunted at all!
Thank you for making this video.
Glad it helped!
Do I need wood to support it? im adding and additional Rod under the one I already have!
Yes. I would add a board on each side fastened to the wall studs, then attach the clothes rod to the board.
