The concept of the song seems to be about a break up that left her dead inside, but she still has to live, hence being a zombie. That's what I understand from the parts where she calls her ex in the MV.
The break up thing is not something that I like as a concept, but the song and the darker atmosphere are really good.

I thought it was more of a break-up song than a public service announcement to caution people about ALWAYS being on their cell phones.
The guy and the girl text but something goes wrong between them (long-distance relationship, whatever), he breaks up with her and she goes into a deep depression, basically becoming a zombie. The breakup was done over the phone (either by call or by text) an not done in person.
You could be right though; cell phones can turn people into zombies. Or maybe we are both right, it could be the combination of the two.
At that one part, I could see where Dreamcatcher also could have turned this into a NuMetal beast of a song. I LOVE EVERGLOW so I totally get their vibe and understand that they are not going in that direction (BOY would that have been a BIG surprise if they had!).
