here I am showing how I got it assembled after cutting all the pieces Music: Acoustic Guitar 1 Musician: music by audionautix.com License: creativecommon...
I think there are just a few different lengths of the struts, that get more when the frequency of the dome increases. You have to know where they go, but not really so much the angles, if you know the lengths the angles take care of themselves.
So the slotted joints slip in a lot easier to the hexagon shapes, put a slight bevel on the ends. I saw that it was a problem as it was being assembled.
Great job would you be willing to show or teach us how to build your dome I would love to build one for my wife to have her a quiet place thanks for sharing
@@bramsafari6974 sorry I did send you the link to a manual so you could buy that but I dont see it here in the reply section so I am sending it again darwindomes.com/manual mind you it has multiple errors and you need to figure it out
I also have the plans and found a few small dimension errors that took a little time to work through, nothing that was too difficult. Check and double-check.
Love you're content. TY for shearing. I need a very small office doom, like 3.5 m(9 ft) I'm tall so I want to dig it down or build up cob. I live in 35-75+% humid and about 45 in rain fall yearly. Any thoughts ? I want it small for low ac requirements.
Yes there is a plan from the original creator of this type of the dome unfortunately he passed away and his plan was gathered by his son which we found out to be having many mistakes
Dude! Excellent work, but why do you play horrible music instead of educating us as you have so much to share? Best of luck, but this is a rather dreadful format.
Just like a cloudburst dome.
You design is the best I ever saw.
This is the best alternative i have seen so far. Just need to figure out the angles on the joints.
Did you find the angles of the joints?
I think it's 10 degrees
I believe it is 17

excellent !!! really impressive. CONGRATULATIONS ..... zen billings
Thank you Sir
Good idea!
beautiful, functional. The connector octagonal circles make the dome more solid and easier to assemble as well
cool! thank you for sharing.
U man are an awesome 👍 person.
Thanks

Interesting.
loved the music you chose for this video. Are you going to give up the plans for this? 👍✌🖖🥃
show 👏

@@chiselwoodworking I purchased those plans, what kind of errors are you talking about?
@@prestonthomas9406 I am sorry that I cant go through them and point out those errors , I am not building domes any more

Can you hang from it or stand on top?

Your welcome, I am not clear about your QS , do you want me to build it for you or you want my thought
@@bramsafari6974 I was just asking what you thought.
you can build it on top of a concrete footing or any high footing to protect it from the rain fall so that it would not touch the dirt
@@bramsafari6974 TY for replying. I need to make a 1/2 basement or a 2 ft riser. Will that mess with the strength of the dome's/structure to much ?
@@frankenstein3163 No it wouldn't
Strut length???
Wht is the angle of the slot in the wood struts?
they are 10 degree
@@chiselwoodworking Thank You! 😁
any plans?

I think the strength of the structure will be weak!
On this one I think you are right since it was a model, but in general geodesics are immensely strong structures due to their geometry
