- Replacing a 3-way switch on a Les Paul is fairly easy. You need a few simple tools and about 15 minutes. This video will show you how to change the 3 way switch on your guitar.

I installed a new switchcraft 3-way switch on my Gibson Les Paul using the schematics from this video , easy peasy, it worked like a charm and I seem to have gotten a volume increase on my bridge pickup ! Love It
I have an Epiphone DOT335 Cherry Red....Recently, the 3 way Toggle switch is working erratically. If I remember correctly, previously: In the centre position BOTH the Bridge and Neck pickups used to be ON and I could control the Volume independently (also the Tone), Now, in the Centre position, the Neck pickup stays OFF and ONLY comes On if I very, very slightly turn ON the Bridge pickup? Is this NORMAL - I don't think so. Could you please confirm? Cheers from Toronto....

Looks to me like your switch diagram (1:00 mark) is incorrect. What you have shown as the green ground connection is actually the switch's output. The black connection is the switch's ground connection.

Why does my switch have two lugs on the ground side? Which one do I solder the black wire to? What’s the difference between having one or two on that side?

Is it possible to replace a 3-way toggle with a pot in order to dial in the different level of bridge/neck pickup? If so, then what issues would I face?
In other words, I want 3 pots and no pickup selector instead of 2 pots and a pickup selector..
Definitely possible. I did a video on a 7-way strat mod where instead of having 2 tones, one of the tones becomes a blend.

Excellent video... cheers from Toronto....I have an Epiphone Dot 3 with a 3 way Toggle switch. In the Middle position, before, I THINK Both the Bridge and Neck were turned on and I could adjust Both Volumes.
Now, in the Center position, the Neck one stays Off, until I slightly open the Bridge Volume!
Is this the norm??? Please advise. Thanks.

What if only the lever part of the switch broke off and i lost it? The switch still works i just cant find that small part.
If it broke off then you may need to replace the switch. If it fell off then you can just replace the end. Is there a thread on the hit that’s sticking out?
If you can see a thread on what’s left then you can buy replacement switch tips on Amazon and eBay.
What is the music? Is there a way to buy it?
That’s one of my band’s tracks, Hold On. We may be recording an album version of it soon as we’re currently discussing which tracks to do in the studio next.

To be honest it doesn’t really matter, you can just spin the switch round
Dude when you are soldering, over that precious painted body, tape over the surrounding area with masking tape. As your fingers no doubt know, solder is extremely hot - and what accidentally comes off the soldering iron can and will make a mess of the paintwork!
