    Nice topic, sir. These points about fail-safe design and error-free calculations are of paramount importance. On a positive note, I would like to share an industry practice: if the management (in the industry) gives utmost importance to quality of the production code for aerospace applications, they shall definitely go through a rigorous systematic checks. One such example is the DO-178C for North America; this is just one of many other qualifications that software for critical aero applications go through. There must be similar qualifications/certifications for other domains as well.
    Parallely, I am wondering how AI software are getting tested (with regards to engineering applications like transport). Perhaps, a Digital Twin maybe of help here. But there is always a question of reliability. This would be nice discussion for a future video, sir.

      Thanks for your insights and for the comment on the importance of digital twins in the future. They can play a key role in maintaining systems and also in spotting impending fault events. Hope you have seen my digital twin high level review video.

    An excellent topic of discussion in today's scenario. Failures in earlier designs must be documented and the lessons learnt should be brought to academic level in a continuous manner. This will help both faculties & students

    Sir, while giving the presentation of my msc thesis in the interviews, do I have to wrap up everything in 10 minutes or it's flexible? I am asking in general.

    • @Drganguli
      @Drganguli  3 месяца назад

      Generally they will provide a time for interviews which will include a time for presentation of your thesis research. If they don’t it is good to ask by email.

      @@academicgladiator Yes they often have a string of interviews lined up for candidates one after the other other.

    Sir can you do a video about chemical engineering and their research opporturnities.
    Whether there is scope for someone to be a professor in iit after chemical engineering.
    So can you say about teaching opporturnities after chemical engineering.

      Good idea. There is always scope to become a professor in chemical engineering. The publication requirements vary substantially between the different parts of chemical engineering such as polymers versus fluid mechanics. A postdoc will help you a lot here.
