Paystow - An O Gauge Western Region Model Railway

One of my favourite layouts at The Spa Valley Railway exhibition last month was Paystow, an O Gauge layout built by Jonnie Pay.
Depicting a small terminus station somewhere in Cornwall, this model railway is set firmly in the Western Region with a mixture of passenger trains pulling into the station and goods trains being marshalled in the sidings.
Paystow was also complete with sound too - not just from the locomotives but ambient sound of the goings on at the station and the countryside around it, which created a real atmosphere. This is something I've been looking into for my own layouts and I have to say it was very effective!
All in all Paystow is a beautifully modelled scene with plenty of interest and lots of trains to keep you entertained - what more could you want!
